Kindle keyboard 3 is still my favorite I ever had! If it had been backlit I would still use it. It had its own built in Wi-Fi so you could download books from anywhere. Sadly, I believe they are no longer supported by Amazon.

@@thebooknookcorner1153 you just add the books directly to the Kindle using either Calibre or dropping the files into the folder with File Explorer. But it wouldn't sync across multiple devices that way

your books will be in the kindle cloud or archive and you need to download each book to your kindle while connected to wifi

I still have my original Kindle 2- the first one you showed. I was able to pretty easily replace my battery and it works great.
If you want to use it you need to ‘side load’ by connecting it to your computer and copying books into the kindle folder.
Calibre is a free ebook manager software you can use to make it even easier! The software makes it possible to convert any ebook into kindle’s file format.

Barnes and noble recently discontinued their older nooks, you must of connected to the internet with them last week to get them registered. You can only sideload books on them now and read already downloaded books.

@@thebooknookcorner1153 the device needs to be connected to your computer. You can then load books with I think I drop and drag or use calibre. I'm not sure how to download nook books directly to the computer. I managed to get mine from my android tablet, sent the books to SD card and connected to tablet to the computer and looked in the SD directory until I found the downloaded books. I suggest asking your husband for help.

This is what B&N chat told me. Register an older nook before June 1st or you would be out of luck. You could see your books but would not be able to add new.

Sorry to hear that your devices died out or didn’t work properly! It was very interesting to see you try out the old e-readers. I also have a kindle keyboard (my first e-reader) from years ago that is now no longer working. That’s awesome about the readathon! Would love to see a video about suggestions to read for the event, and/or sharing your own TBR for it 😊

The Kindle ‘Touch’ (the third one you review) is actually not the kindle touch. It’s the kindle 4th generation. And it doesn’t have touchscreen. I have this version and still use it! Mine REFUSES to break

Kindle keyboard 3 all the way…… it was my first kindle and I still use it. I upgraded to the. Ew paper white, but I still use the keyboard lol

@@thebooknookcorner1153 were you able to get it connected to WiFi. It should be in settings. Register it to your account of course, then you can search and Download books or Libby books straight onto it. It also reads to you if you want it to. It’s very robotic but it does
Awww... It sucks none of these worked as expected. I have an old kindle fire hd 7 (I think the first tablet they released) and I don't know what to do with it!

It does, though it doesn't hold charge for long. I already changed the battery myself like 10 years ago, but I don't think it's worth doing it again because the screen has also turned a little yellow by the middle.
