    Yup, I guess I should add some of this to my game. I’m always doing a slow 4-step on everything strike attempt!

    Can you do a “how-to” video on sliding? I plant, but want to slide…my brain won’t let me go “toes in”

      Do test slides then try it with your normal approach. Then repeat.

      I started approaching every wooden floor in my house with a nice sock slide (ex: opening the kitchen door, going to open the front door, or just plain working on my shot and sliding my foot). Muscle memory is everything!

      @@IIIJDubsIII I’ll continue doing all of that…I have wood floors in my kitchen & dining. I keep hearing it just comes naturally; which is probably why there are no videos (good) on it. Also, I plant heel first, and trying to force my foot toes-in is a challenge lol. Thx

      Run around on wood floors with socks on!
      Or put on your bowling shoes and practice on hard floor. Laminate floor is perfect.

    Thanks for the tips guys, great information and a lot to think about. I am coming back after 10 years off from back and wrist injury and it's been tough. Carried a 210-215 in the past and now struggling in the first 3 months to stay around 195-200. Have had some great nights in the high 600's but have also had my share of mid 500's :-( Hopefully I'll be able to find a good rhythm soon enough and get back into it.

    I assume this applies the same for one hand and two hands? Seems like general advice but I may be wrong.

    I always use a three step approach with a conventional throw. What tips do you have? Everyone talks about four and five step. I'd love to see a series of videos on this three step delivery. The pluses and minus, adjusting, common mistakes, and how to improve with it, Bob

    Pushing away the ball 2nd step. Is that when your 2nd step starts to move, when the 2nd step lands or somewhere in between.

    Hey Brad & Kyle, please answer this question!!!
    How do you like bowling shoes with plain shoe laces, vs BOA ratchet systems?
    Discuss pros & cons???

    • @scorpion-ninja8228
      @scorpion-ninja8228 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just bought a pair of Brunswick Fury shoes with their ATOP system. (seems like a K-mart version of BOA systems! NOTE: I love the BOA systems that are on my Motorcycle gear. Knox armour gloves, some other boots from TCX, etc)
      So i figured, cool these BOA systems are branching out onto other sports and clothing lines! Great!
      Bowling shoes? Great idea.... or so I thought!
      I cannot get the system to tighten up enuff compared to my older shoes with good ol' shoe laces you tie like the last 500 years!!!

      @@scorpion-ninja8228 I have the same shoes that Brad is wearing in this video with the dial on the back of the heel and seem to have the same issue. The actual rubber grips seem to be slipping around the plastic and making it hard to actually tighten. I believe I'll find myself going back to regular laces very soon.

      Adjust your hand. Your probably more on the side of the ball and not under the ball

    Hello Brad and Kyle and the community. I have a question (not pertaining to the video) but im hoping you can answer and help me understand regardless.
    Long story short, i used to bowl a lot around 8-10 years ago and i recently got back into bowling a few months ago. So, when i got back into it, i had my local pro shop check my PAP which was 4 3/8 right and 1 5/8 up. After a lot of practice and watching a bunch of videos from all bowling channels, i fell i am throwing the ball a lot better, so i had my pro sho check my PAP again since my game has changed. My PAP is now 5 1/5 right and just 5/8 up. I know its hard to tell without videos or anything, but any guesses on what i may be doing differently now that i was before? I have really been focusing on keeping my elbow tucked and trying to get behind the ball as much as possible. Im just curious if you have any thought on what may have changed or any insight on why someones PAP might change by over an inch each way.

    • @simonlevy3466
      @simonlevy3466 ปีที่แล้ว

      A change in pap is a change in tilt not rotation, so it could be hand placement at release ( how much you are getting around the ball)

    • @bowlnow824
      @bowlnow824 ปีที่แล้ว

      My pap changed when I changed my grip. Did you change your spand or pitches? I started tracking lower when I shortened my span and did some pit h changes

    • @notonyourlife7939
      @notonyourlife7939 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn't lose any sleep over it... everybody's PAP migrates over time. Check it again in 6 months, and it'll likely be slightly different again. Plus, you were away from the game for an exented period, so whatever you were doing with your release when you started back up again doesn't mean much... scraping of the rust takes a while, so those numbers probably weren't a true representation of your typical release anyway.
      The ball also makes a difference... if you check your PAP with a strong early rolling solid, a high RG pearl, and a plastic spare ball with no core, you'll get 3 different sets of numbers... just the nature of the beast.

    on the fast shot , there was exactly the same ball and feet movement for the first 2 steps. He probably accelerated a bit later. Also he moved right in the stance so the ball would look hooking less anyway. Come on guys. Practice what you are going to show before you film it.
