I totally agree with the cluttered nature of the game table when you're a few rounds into a game - it detracts somewhat from the immersion and gets very fiddly. However, the rules and the potential for fun emergent gameplay this expansion offers looks great - looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
Modiphius has licensed Fallout for their 2D20 RPG system. I've run their Conan game, it's a nice clean system, borrowing the roll under mechanic from Infinity, with a push pull escalating threat mechanic that allows players to buy extra dice for checks by increasing the GM's resource pool to escalate threats in the adventure. It shouldn't be that hard to translate that to the miniatures game. Hopefully if there's a 2nd edition for Wasteland Warfare they can use the RPG's mechanic to streamline the whole thing.
I prefer decks of cards to a giant book of tables as you can add cards from multiple sets and even remove cards you don't want. Plus, once built, a deck takes up significantly less table space than a book you need to constantly reference
Great video Ash! Not sure if you've tried it already, but you might like Five Parsecs from Home. It's leans (very) heavily into procedural generation and emergent storytelling over a sustained solo campaign. There is a fair amount of book keeping between games but the games themselves are very admin/token light.
I've bought a bunch of the Modiphius Fallout minis, but looking at all the stuff in the starter set (cards, special rulers, special dice, etc.) made my head hurt so I've never bothered to actually play the game.
Hang tight, charts (for some of it) are coming - Capitol wave I think. Can't wait for your play through on this, esp if you finish with Into the Vault mission(s) ::hint,hint:: 😜
I would love to see you play Into the Wasteland as a campaign... but please don't do the one in the book so I can actually watch you video without spoilers! (I want to play it myself someday). Into the Vault and Homesteaders also expand on this crunchy procedural stuff and detailed base building respectively, check them out!

Can't wait to see some playthroughs of this!
Need more Fallout on this channel :)

We NEED to play this!
We’ve got the stuff let’s do it!

Dear R Talsorian: please do this for Cyberpunk 2077.
Good video. It would be great to see you do some more fallout games 👍🏻

Second the 5p recommendation.
Awesome! More Fallout Wasteland Warfare and Elder Scrolls Call to Arms battle reports please!
I may have missed it, but did you have any plans for a gameplay video on the channel?
Nice! Thanks Ash

Looks great. I don't mind the abundance of tokens, as I'm mostly a solo gamer and am used to it, but I really hate the punch out cards

The token thing keeps me from playing it... But I'm doing their 2D20 rpg with, kid and his friends this weekend.
Foww!
Australian prices seem expensive 😕 I wanted to replace my warhammer game for something resalable.
