I ordered the woods kit for my 2024 YZ250X because In stock trim to say that I was disappointed would be an understatement after riding my 2013 YZ250 for years. I installed a rad valve, apex xc head , R304 shorty and I could tell a difference but it still didn’t run as good as the YZ250. Then I got around to installing the HITLIS and followed the instructions to the T. I’m absolutely blown away. The X needs the apex head IMO but hands down the HITLIS is the best mod by any measure. I can’t recommend this enough. Thank you for such an amazing product.
It's about time someone concentrated on the power valve operation especially with mechanical updates and improvements!!! The 2-stroke engine is still the best for dirt bikes, it's powerful, uncomplicated, light, and extremely easy to work on.
Just got a text from one of our customers... "Yamaha should build this bike with your HITLIS and a Estart for $9500 and KTM would never sell another bike".... It's available now with a little DIY !!
A dyno pull of a fully stock bike and one with the kit installed would be great marketing material, it would show the difference in power curve. Otherwise looks great!
Brilliant, analog tuning of the PV. So, timing and velocity. Electronic PV? we don't need no stinkin' electronic PV! I shared this with a soon to be 250X owner. He'll be able to go 2mph and choose if he wants to hold the front tire 2" or 5" off the ground...as long as he wants. My bros '97 CRE250 tuned engine did this. It was freaky level of control. Best 250 I ever rode.
@@ProductivePowerLLC THis is Ryder's Dad Mike, I cant say enough good things about how well the Hitlis system works! i was skeptical at first but im so glad i made the decision to try it! My bike feels more powerful but smoother at the same time. I don't have to be so precise with the throttle, i can grab a handful like I'm on a 4 stroke and it pulls smoothly and puts the power down to the ground smoothly. As odd as this sounds, i can use a less than ideal tire now because it doesn't break the rear wheel lose as easily as it did pre Hitlis.
@@MichaelSchwab-nk4rm His '25 does not have the "governor mod". That hasn't been an option since 2022 when Yamaha discontinued the .8 mm thrust washers.
@ feels pretty good used a 2018 yz250 for enduro/woods previous. cold weather is here now only have 2 tanks of gas ran through it. I’ll know more once spring is here
this could actually be genius. i might need to test this out! Im running a Billetron 38 + Rad Valve. Did not want to get the Apex Head. Has anyone ever tried this HITLIS with a Lectron? Could this help with fouling plugs?
I had a Lectron with the HITLIS and the HITLIS is way better mod. It works great with the Lectron but I found their jetting specs actually worked better and sold the Lectron. Rad valve is going to give you minimal to no gains. I actually put my bike back to stock once I had the HITLIS. It makes everything better about the bike. You don't need any other mods. If you're fouling plugs you are overfueling the bike and HITLIS is not going to fix bad jetting or a leaky crank seal. Also if you are using a high flashpoint oil or castor based oil and not revving the bike everywhere you go you are more prone to fouling plugs.
Hmmm. I like it. Having owned 3 YZ250 bikes. Would be awesome off road for sure. It's like a 300 XC-W. Make a big bore YZ250 with this kit, pull some timing out or add a flywheel weight. I would love to see all this.
Time to get a 4th! People are finding it's awesome for motocross also. Customers claim it's got all the best characteristics of a 300 XCW, while keeping all the excitement of the YZ250. There's a dozen big bores running the HITLIS with great results.
This Looks Sweet - Now Make an Adjustable Power Valve Kit with a Big Knob I can reach while sitting on my YZ - Add Solid Detents to the Cap just like Windage-Detents on my Rifle Scope - I'd Buy a YZ250 just to Bolt On those Items !! Cheers

Buddy, what is the major improvement you noticed?
Awesome to see some cool development continuing in the sport. Please continue your efforts 🫡
Thank you, will do....

Thank you Sir. I’m sure I will order one of these soon. Your Powerjet40 recipe is spot on! You should be a yamahaa engineer!
If you like the #40Powerjet recipe your going to love the HITLIS !!
@ProductivePowerLLC lt's amazing when a regular mechanic kicks the but top engineers.
@ProductivePowerLLC im in Florida DA. What exactly is the power jet #40 mod? Like what's it do?
ill be getting one soon. for next year racing season. HITLIS before a new 4 stroke
As one customer said very smooth "not unlike a fourth stroke, but more lively"

Did your buddy have similar power valve mods on hi CR to achieve that? Looking to active the same thing with mine.
Achieve not active LOL
great video! Cant wait to try it!
How is it working out for you?

I had a '06 YZ250 and an 11 oz flywheel weight made it pretty easy to ride. My '17 YZ250X never felt right and I sold it after about 25 hours on it.
This put a smile on my face! I’m definitely going to invest in one! Thank you for being you sir!!
I will keep an eye out for your order!
Which kit would you recommend for track? Dessert I’m guessing?
I’ll have to try this. Just picked up a 25 250x
You won't be disappointed! Run the new bike for a little while to get to know it and then install a HITLIS :-)

I would be interested to see a dyno pull with this.
I'll see what we can do, what would you like to see?
Could i use it on a yamaha tdr 125 ?
No, sorry this won't work on the tdr's
Phenomenal
God bless 2 strokes
Amen to that!!
Would it work on a 03 Rm250? (Year Suzuki copied the YZ engine)
Unfortunately, no. Suzuki's power valve system was quite different from Yamaha's even though there was a lot of other similarities. Good question...
If you want to go stock powervalue van you go back easily?
Yes, it's 100% reversible.
Will it work with Athena 300 kit?
It should, email support@productivepowerllc.com for details...
I'm happy to report the HITLIS is in all types of big bores now and the owners are loving it !!
Does this make the bike feel like an xcw/te/ec?
It still has the YZ character but it's very smooth and predictable.
Ripper
First mod should be carb. This is definitely second tho
