Very funny. But what I hate about my generation back then is how we always made fun of West Africa. It was always a punchline. I’m happy to see now that we are more proud of our roots.

That is absolutely NOT true. The dress was never the issue. There are two factors in this: 1) this particular outfit is very out of character for Regine. And 2) Regine was forever dogging everybody else about their clothes. This was merely turnabout.
