Here's a quick demo of an Epiphone Studio 10 practice amp. This little thing surprised me... especially when I played the audio back in my DAW. I couldn't believe how big this sounds recorded! It's a tiny little practice amp, about 10 watts, one channel with a boost. There's plenty of gain there to play around with. I found a few sweet spots and really decent tones using my Les Paul. Definitely worth checking out if you see one, or go and try some other small amps to see what they sound like, you might be surprised. Hope you enjoy the video and find it useful! - Jose
P.S. If there's anything you'd like to see and hear that would make these quick demos more useful, leave a comment below! I always hate when I can't find a decent quick video of a piece of gear I'm looking to acquire. Hopefully by documenting some of the guitar gear that comes my way, I can help someone else out in that same situation!

*Mic'd with a Shure SM57 into my M-Audio interface and Reaper. No post processing or eq'ing was done to the audio track!
I saw one of these recently and was surprised at how thin it is. You could literally fit this into a backpack, and that kind of portability would be great for traveling to low-key practices or a bedroom amp where space is at a premium.
I have mine in the bedroom haha
Thanks for the Demo. Great job!
In 2005 I was 14, my parents got me a knockoff fender starcaster and this amp. I didn’t know what gain was at the time, so I always played it clean. I assumed I needed a pedal for rock tones. Until my friend came over and dimed the gain one day. It was as if he pulled Excalibur from the stone. Once I understood what gain was, I never played the amp clean again 😂
My friend has this amp years ago with a little les paul kit. It has the fold out kick stand thing in the back right !?!?! I've been searching for this for soooo long. The boost sound is truly spectacular. Brings back memories.
Hello I bought the exact same one but I can’t find headphones that work with it ?!
Try getting sone adapter like plug for Jack (sorry My bad English)
Olá, amigo! Eu tenho um desse. Está perfeito, eu comprei em 1998, se não me engano. É espetacular!
Try this....unplug the speaker and get a larger 12 inch vintage Eminence 12810PA alnico speaker in a open back cab turn the gain on 3 and the volume on 7 and you will have a Marshall Plexi sound that will fool even the best of people!!!!
No way 😳😂😂 I love to hear this!
Cause I just pulled this amp out of the combo box and am converting it into a head amp to plug into a 2 x 12 I just built with wgs speakers
Hola. Este amplificador es de válvulas, estado sólido, híbrido o de transistores?
este amplificador es de estado sólido (estado sólido es el mismo que "hecho con transistores"). espero que pudiera ayudarte, pero hace algunos años que yo estudiaba español. :)
I Have this same amp. I play Death Metal and Black Metal. I don't know if it's the tone or something but my playing sounds muddy sometimes and sometimes it sounds decent. Should I try a different amp for my musical style?
Are you using an overdrive pedal in to the amp? If not, you probably need at least a tube screamer style pedal. Develop a good ear for sound, and determining what frequencies you need more or less of, and what kind of distortion or saturation you want. Here are a few videos showing how to dial in a good tone (note that some of these are not specifically for Metal, but they were very helpful for me regardless)

@@serpentsbane9166 OK, thanxs. I appreciate it.
I see it has a phone jack for headphones. How do you get the headphone jack to work? Do you need an adapter or can you plug them directly in?
you will need a 1/4 inch adapter to use conventional headphones.
Yeh 1/4” to 3.5mm
I dont expect this
