I thought that there was a video of someone installing the driving lights. The video was on "Our Indian Adventures" from December of 2020. The harness to the lights seemed to be the same. The harness was able to go through the clips that you had pointed out, then the wires went through the holes in the fairing and down to the lights with room to spare. Unfortunately the wires from the lights in this video stuck out about 2"-3" from the housing and had the white plug outside of the bucket with no weather protection. My thought is that the harness wasn't changed, just made to go into the bucket with the grommets and that's where the extra length went. Your patience is commendable, motorcycles are usually made to be put together in the factory and seldom made to add accessories to easily. Tinkering on my bikes is something that I've always done to make them my own, but sometimes I've wondered if the cussing, blood and bruises were worth it. After I'm healed it always has been. Hang in there and I'll be watching for the next one.
Thanks! I really do appreciate the support. Yeah I ran those wires 4 different ways and followed the directions to a T but for some reason it was happening so I ran them the only way I could figure they'd work and after it's said and done I think it'll be fine, no rubbing and anything so we'll see in the spring when I get them flashed if I was right or not lol. Working on the next video now !
I tried it over and over again couldn't get it the way to showed so .......either I received a wrong harness or I'm crazy, regardless the way I ran it worked flawlessly so I'm happy
So you didn’t have to buy the VCM as a separate kit? It came together with the lights? I’m just asking because Indian shows VCM as a separate kit for $139, thanks.
@@jdubb67 thanks jd. I could have sworn I saw that vcm as a kit separate from the bracket kit. Would you be able to send me the kit number that includes vcm? I appreciate it, thanks

@@chrisjaskolka2907 the vcm and harness comes with the mounting bracket kit. The lights themselves are their own kit.

Part # 2884899-266 that's the black bracket kit and the lights are a separate kit
Do you know how much the dealer charges for flash to turn on the driving lights?
No not yet I imagine it'll $50 or so
It was 40 bucks for me
Those stupid retaining clips are a pain and can scratch the bowl pretty easily
Yes they can and yes they are lol
