Such a shame they edited the performance in post production. I saw the full 4 minute routine filmed by someone in the audience. Rest with Love in Paradise Buck 4 & Kuriaki.
While Uprock is my favourite RSC song, I've fond memories of dancing to this back to back with the Grace Jones classic Pull up to the Bumper back in 1983 as a young teenager. It's strange how certain tracks imprint themselves in your consciousness.
yeah . . . that's 12 x 4 and change. really bad. i can't make it better so let's just keep making it worse. i'm not that far behind you. sister is 48 - ouch.
I was 5, but I remember my older cousins around 11-14 were crazy about this. Now, people are glued to their phones and only dance if they see a spider on the floor. 🤦♂️
I was only 4 in 1989 and started breaking from there till about 1999. I was one of those very young kids seeing this while bboying was in it's prime. I kinda miss it tbh
I showed this to my son who’s 8, he laughed and asked me did I have this record, I actually didn’t, recorded it off the Radio onto a cassette 😂. Got me thinking, so I went onto eBay and found someone selling an old 45, bought it. 😂
However... they were supported by someone. I don't think that on their own, from the street, they could have reached television. In any case, those were different times
Did you see the breaker in the background doing a serious handstand windmill in the beginning of the movie? I didn’t see that move again until the early 90’s.
I feel like these guys could have used a lot of help from some creative producers with a good vision. The TV era made it so hard for them to get long term traction

The girl messed up at the very end too, but they might have been a bit nervous in TV.

Breakin' 2 Electric Boogaloo lol actually better than the original
Both horrible to me...
Breakin 1 was cool

Loved the crew, hated the song…
Ya! What was that... Really a pop song. Nothing to do with HH.
