    I bought on of these a couple weeks ago to replace an old one that finally died after many years of abuse. If you are concerned about the exhaust, rubber band a piece of panty hose over it. As long as the filter is installed properly, there really is nothing except air coming out of the exhaust.

      I hear ya! But I normally use mine for woodworking. And the unfortunate part is that the air tends to blow around the saw dust 😕.

    I bought this to clean the attic of lots of sawdust after the roofers put in ridge vents. The book mentions a “band” to hold the two filters together tightly. I don’t see a band, nor do I see one in your video. I’m planning to use both filters & hope that’s ok. It’s a little loud for me, so will use my noise canceling headphones. Great video..thank you!

      Thanks a ton for watching!!!
      And that filter situation is kind of a pain, haha. Not ideal for woodworking, since the sawdust in the room will get blown around!

    Shouldn’t the foam filter be used by itself? The dry filter will get ruined if you get it wet(?) The exhaust will not blow dust if the filter is installed properly. I bought an exhaust muffler just in case it does blow dust. Haven’t used it yet, but it looks great and replaces my Craftsman shop vac from the 80’s!!

    • @ReviewsMadeSimple
      @ReviewsMadeSimple  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah! The foam filter can be used by itself. I have always had good results when doubling up though, so I've always done it that way!
      I haven't had any trouble with the filters getting wet though, as long as I'm conscious about the amount of water going into the vacuum. Most vacuums will pull the water into the bottom of the tank, so it is a while before it touches the filter.
      It honestly does look great! The style is a large part of the reason for which I wanted one! :)

    I actually own 6 of these Craftsman wet/dry vacs. I own small business with a couple locatiand of course I keep one at my house. The 5 gallon May not seem much smaller than the more common 8 gallon but in reality it does have a much smaller footprint. Also my 8 gallon stainless steel Craftsman has 2 fixed backwheels with spinning casters on the front. It's fine if you're pulling it from the front but if you have the unit turned around while using the blower it has an annoying tendency of tipping over where this 5 court with 4 spinning caster wheels is great It makes no difference pulling it from the front or the back. I use them primarily for dry pickups so they always have the inner dust bag attached with the exception of one designated for only wet pickups. These have proven to be true work horses and and have all been exceptionally reliable. I do agree that the included hoseems a bit Nero but that's actually helpful when using the blower function. Luckily you can upgrade to the much wider hose which has the same locking connect your end Which is great for sucking up larger debris like leaves. One major con I have found with most craftsmith wet/drive vacuyes is that they seem to only give you 2 rather short wands. That may be fine if you are are a bit closer to the ground but but for a for a massive giant of 5' 11.5 Like me it requires Some rather awkward moves when floor cleaning. I originally purchased the 1st 4 from Sears the newer ones from kmart.com. Is the wands Are pretty universal and don't cost very much however it is an additional costhat you need to consider. I believe they also sell this model at Lowe's but In my experience I found that buying it from Sears or kmart.com Cost the same but come with an additional attachment kit which is really helpful especially if you do any car detailing. Overall this was a pretty good review which caused me to definitely subscribe to the channel. Thanks bruh!✌

    Would have been helpful if you mentioned whether the 1 1/4" hose can attach to common woodworking tools, or if the purported Stanley 08-2566BP HEPA filter is in fact the compatible HEPA filter, as Craftsman does not make one for this model.

    Pretty powerful vac but the cover is poorly attached with 2 plastic snaps. When carrying it by the top handle they frequently unlock and the canister just spills everything you have spent an hour cleaning up. If that happens while moving the vacuum everything will just blow out the back port. This happens a lot with this unit but never with my Rigid.

    I bought this 4 months ago and suddenly it will not turn on. The power source is not the problem. Is there a fuse that may need replacement? The manual doesn't show whether it's possible to do so.

    • @ReviewsMadeSimple
      @ReviewsMadeSimple  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The bag's disposable, and just for a one-time use scenario. My apologies for not showing it! But it should just slide into the vacuum port on the inside of the vacuum and align with the opening on the bag 🙂. You'd essentially have to slide it into place.

    I bought this today because my very senior dog had a huge pee accident. I went and bought a Bissell carpet cleaner for pets, and it left my carpets a soggy mess for 3 days with no sign of drying. I put this one together properly following the instructions using the wet foam filter for wet cleanup. Dude, you would have a lot better suction if you weren't clogging the motor, and probably voiding your warranty. I used all three wands that came with it and the large floor nozzle. I put it down on the carpet and it suctioned down to the carpet as I pulled it apart. I did a small section of my carpet and I have already collected a lot of water. I tried to do this with the steam cleaner without water and only vacuuming, but it wasn't pulling any more water up. I think it is clogged! Great job Bissell building a carpet cleaner for pet cleanup that can't handle pet hair. This little machine is a powerhouse when you use it with the right filter setup. I haven't tried using it for dry clean-up messes, but I will definitely be using it for the dog hair in my house instead of my house vacuum which I don't like. I love the size and the power that it has. I have never had a vacuum that suctioned onto the carpet.

  • @joehealey9173
    @joehealey9173 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I bought same vac two weeks ago and returned it after I turned it on one time. The reason is there is no filter for the exhaust. The suction is good but blows same amount of force out the back with no diversion. Most shop backs have a diversion system so the
    exhaust air deflects in multiple directions.
