    When Tina was in her High School music class playing acoustic, her teacher told her that she was too advanced for his class and advised her to learn electric guitar. He recommended Renaud Louis-Servaisas as her new teacher. The TH-cam videos were recorded in his studio he built in his home and were meant as tests to show Tina's progression and to help her get a sponsor as she couldn't afford a quality guitar. She really didn't care about bad compliments because she already knew she was exceptional. She made the cover of Guitar Magazine when she was still only 14. She's been complimented by Eddie Van Halen, (God rest his soul), as well as Steve Vai, (student of Joe Satriani), along with Herman Li and Sam Totman (Dragon Force), and John Petrucci (Dream Theater) invited her backstage at one of there concerts (documented on TH-cam somewhere). Where did she go? She graduated High School. It is said by good sources that she enrolled, and is away at college taking business courses. Since her guitar lessons are finished for now, so are her videos. This is all I really know pertaining to this subject. It is all verifiable on TH-cam. I didn't want to post links. I hope it answers some questions.

      Thomas, has she ever played anyplace live or has anyone claim they have heard her live. And to just give it up so she can go to college and take business courses and never post again or record a cd, nothing, very strange.

    I've been following her for a while now.I'm a guitar player myself,so I'm drawn to guitar players. There seems to a huge increase in these world class female guitar prodigies.Tina is insanely good.Happy to see you react to her.She deserves recognition. She left for a while to pursue her education.Talented and wise beyond her years. She also was endorsing the guitar she is playing.I've never heard anything about the trolling,if it's true, that's just wrong on every level.I've seen comments dissing her playing from jealous people that don't have half her talent.Stop whining and go practice if you feel you deserve to stand in her shadow.

    It is only a rumor that she left due to bullying. As far as I can tell nobody actually knows! There is a lot of reporting that she went to college but who actually knows? One of the greatest guitarists of all time and of course we all 'want her back' but I say good for her if she found something she loves even more than guitar. Whatever that thing is, it is on fire, destroyed, crushed, immolated, dominated, and completely owned. As a musician I am just in awe of her incredible focus and endurance.

    Tina S one of the most incredible young musical talents around. I hope she returns to public performing, it would be a treat. I comment here to bring to your attention a young artist from Norway, Angelina Jordan. Angelina turned 15 this last Jan 10. Angelina in 2014 won Norways Got Talent at the age of eight auditioning singing Billie Hollidays 'Gloomy Sunday' and singing in the finals Gershwins 'Summertime'. She won nearly 50% of the finals vote. Since NGT she has released on her youtube cover channel over 120 covers of songs by around 65 different artists. She has sung for the kings of Norway and Sweden, for nobel laureates and President Obama. When Angelina was twelve she sang the opening number for Quincy Jones 85th birthday celebration in London's O2 arena. She sang Quincys arrangement of 'Fly Me to the Moon' that he had written for Frank Sinatra and Count Basie. Quincy said of Angelina that she is the most talented youth he has seen since Michael Jackson. Last year (2020) Angelina appeared on AGT Champions edition singing her arrangements of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road'. Both are stunning, she reinvented them and made them hers. Angelina Jordan - Bohemian Rhapsody - America's Got Talent: The Champions - January 6, 2020 ~ th-cam.com/video/qF0JV28vgLw/w-d-xo.html ~ Angelina Jordan Sings Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" - America's Got Talent: The Champions ~ th-cam.com/video/NVRWYEk8T3A/w-d-xo.html Since AGT Angelina has signed with Republic Records as a highest priority artist. The studio version of Angelina's first release from Republic records was released about a month ago. The song "Million Miles" is a tribute to her maternal grandfather who recently passed. ~ th-cam.com/video/3KxvwuZ7oEM/w-d-xo.html Angelina is not just gifted, she is the gift.

    I have been watching her videos for years and also studied classical guitar, so I can appreciate how difficult this is to play. The one thing I never see mentioned in the comments in her videos of this particular piece is how she transitions from using the pick to tapping and back again. That one aspect alone is amazing to me, how she doesn't drop the pick. I like your facial expressions when you realize how incredibly talented Tina is.

    She doesn't need to look at her fingers, because she knows exactly what she wants to play and where it is on the fretboard (and she has practiced this for hours and hours) . Think of it this way, when you drive your car do you look at your hands when you want to turn the wheel, or your feet when you speed up or brake? No, because you've learned that those actions make the car turn, or go faster or slow down. You look at the road, because that is the most important thing and the other things become second nature.

      No question about it. The piano as we know it today was developed in the late 18th century, around the time Beethoven was growing up. It was the electric guitar of the time. Traditional music lovers of his day probably saw Beethoven like my grandparents would have seen Frank Zappa - utterly alien to their preconceived concept of music.

    Something you can appreciate. Pau from The Warning said that when she is performing she does not think about what she is playing or singing. That when she starts thinking about it is when she messes up. Over the years I have heard several top tier artists say similar things. Not all by any means but still a significant number. That Tina was not looking at her guitar all the time and keeping a big smile on her face seems to have been the most common complaints about her. As near as I could tell there was no good reason for the criticism she received. While that is the common story for why she dropped out of sight only she knows for sure. Certainly she deserves respect for her skill and the thousands of hours of practice she put in to obtain those skills.

    • @guiguijol
      @guiguijol 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, complaints were about the way she sounds maybe sometimes lacking of emotions. (like blues as instance, which is entirely based on fluctuations and emotions), and this thing became what you say, people mistaking "emotions" with the way she looks when she plays. (how stupid, who cares about the face she makes)
      It was about the way she SOUNDS.
      And yes sometimes she lacks a bit of emotions, playing mechanicaly.
      But at this level of technicity, and being so young, it's a real challenge to had emotion and humanize a performance.

I have been following Tina for more than twelve years, she is hands down one of the most technically accurate musicians, history will record her talent as the best female artist of all time against both female and male artists. I miss her and wish she would return even though I know she had to put up with dirty internet trolls. I think she has taken time out to finish her college education, however, I know like me her fans can't wait to see this phoenix rise and take her place once more, much love Tina, never give up.

    If you're curious there are videos of the hardest piano pieces being played by a concert pianist where you can see their hands from above. There are also guitarists and Professors of Musical Theory who are bringing these pieces to the Electric guitar. There easily amongst the most complex pieces of music ever written.

    There is a video that shows her from like age 5 up through her teen years playing classical guitar and then graduating to heavy stuff. She developed her chops over years of playing and I think she spends months on one piece making sure it is right. She would be around 20 or 21 now I believe. It would be great to see what she is doing now. yeah hopefully she will be back. She needs you to be her internet bodyguard Jen!😎

    Actually the Flight of the Bumblebee is a LOT easier than this one. The Flight is very fast indeed and difficult, but many parts are quite repetitive, almost mechanical. There are organists who can play it with their feet, like this one: th-cam.com/video/hHZvMAJUN5g/w-d-xo.html This is something else. Her precision on those tapped arpeggios is astounding. I'm a musicologist, I also play in a band, I started playing the guitar 30 years ago, also the keyboards, I've seen a ton of very good guitar players, high end virtuosos, people who left me with my jaw on the floor, but I've never seen anything like her. Especially not at 17 years of age.

      This piece is maybe around the 4th or 3rd hardest piano piece out there. Chopin and Vivaldi can be even more intense at times.
