    .just started playing 3string cbg, it was the catchy strumming patterns of the old blues songs that really got me aching too play.

    Mark, one of the things I enjoy about your lessons is the history aspect you teach. Example: Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, etc.

    Hi Mark
    I've been struggling to hack the Bo Diddley beat for months and could never get it to sound right. Thanks to your tip about palm muting I've finally cracked it.
    Cheers from the UK

    Great advice on developing skill in the pattern. Muscle memory takes more than just a few iterations (or sessions).
    Looking forward to more!

    Uncle Mark thanks for the excellent tips & performance. That fretless cigarbox guitar is killer! Is that a Rob instrument? That dark brown sticker thing at the rear, is that a palm rest. Your name on the fretboard is a cool 😎 factor bonus!

    • @unclemarkscigarboxguitarlesson
      @unclemarkscigarboxguitarlesson  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it’s a Rob’s, no palm rest. Cheers.

      I have a VOX mini 3 G2. I almost feel my strings are too close to the fret. It never sounds like your's no matter what I do. I have tried brass, steel, ceramic and glass slides to no avail. Its very frustrating. Are there certain settings on the VOX for optimal sound performance? I also have Pevey or SP10 amp I could use. I have nothing too fancy. Any suggestions or help you provide would be appreciated.

      @@cmmbsnyder55 I know nothing of the Vox..... I've never owned one, sorry. A lot of slide tone is accrued over years of playing. a lot of years. Keep working at it, one day it will all come together..... that's actually what happened to me.
      Cheers
