When someone is a billionaire, we shouldn't just take whatever good they do as a sign of them being a good person. Sure, many of them may be, but at a certain level of wealth, donating a huge amount of it is just what people expect and it doesn't effect them much at all. So we should be questioning almost everything they do. People do that to Elon and he has pretty great answers for everything. Bill Gates, Buffet, Bloomberg, and a few others don't get questioned about much they do at all. They just give a surface level explanation for their motivations, and very few people even attempt to dive deeper.
