That's a killer deal on a great, little bedroom amp! You're right---Sweetwater has top-notch customer service, at least that has been my experience so far as well.
If simplicity is what you're after the Id Core amps are great. I use the warm bright setting almost exclusively on mine. By playing around with the gain and the ISF I found I can get a variety of great tones. The only negative is that it's not very loud. I have Roland Cube Micro which is only 3 watts and it seems as loud as my Id Core 40.
I went on a small amp search/campaign last year and picked one of these up for much more (140-Reverb) but I love it as a bedroom amp. I also have THR10 nearby...and more in other rooms. They can go deeper with an app but it's not required - and since it doesn't move I set it and forget it. The newer V4 doesn't impress me - minor upgrades to connectivity that are almost outdated on release date. But I'm pretty happy with the V3...and the stereo sounds great too! Enjoy Joe! 🎸🎸🎸
I received mine yesterday! Nice little practice amp! I dialed in a nice little lead tone 👍🏽🤘🏽✌🏽 it has really clean sounds. The OD sounds are ok I think I need to get into the software and tweak it a little bit to get a good distortion sound. Well enjoy 👍🏽🤘🏽✌🏽
I love Sweetwater! They are the best music store going these days. I recently ordered me a Marshall Origin 20 combo and it came damaged. One phone call and a couple photos later (and I mean taking and emailing the photos while I was on the phone) and I had a new one to my door a day later. The best!
@@AJgeartalk It is great service. Also probably helps I live about 3 hours away from Sweetwater headquarters but none the less, great service from Sweetwater.
i got one on sale and hey it is a very nice amp i like it better than the fender mustang lt25 , it came before the seafoam minsine debadged and updated pickups and tuners.
@@timedwards1220 For me it would work, how it compares I don't know. I'm not a big effects guy. 99% of the time I play through a Reissue 65 Deluxe Reverb. The only other amp I used in my life was a Roland JC120. I purchased that back in the 80's, I could play my guitar through it and it had a decent Reverb and a neat Chorus effect that I would occasionally use. It also had line inputs which I used for my Keyboard Synth. (New JC120's no longer have Line inputs) I traded it in on a Precision Bass, DUMB! Anyway I like to play around with effects now and then, that's all I use my Katana MKII for. I paid $249 for it, I rather pay $89 to jerk around. Good luck with your New Katana that is killer amp with plenty of punch, and all the bells & whistles.😃
It's a good one, Joe. Mine arrived yesterday. I like having the built-in the tuner. I haven't tried making any adjustments using the software yet, but I find that it sounds great at comfortable listening volume on all of the amp types. It gets a bit hairy when using the higher gain amps at high volume, but that could be just me. The speakers are only 5", so one can't expect it to sound awesome at high gain, high volume settings, IMO. It's similar to the old Vox DA-5 that I bought years ago which cost me considerable more. The micro-USB port is a minor inconvenience, but I'm sure I have one of those old cables around somewhere. Would I pay $200 for it? No. For $90, though, it is a no-brainer for me. All said, I think it is a perfect bedroom practice amp that won't break the bank.
Really liking it Tim. 20 watts is "just right" for my power needs. Easy to use. Sounds great. Love the Blackstar Architect software to dial in the amp.
Man I need an amp too. Anyway to plug it into the computer to get sounds out of it? I do have a scarlette audio dac, an old one. can you do a comparison with any other amps you may have?
Love your channel, Joe. Love you, Joe. Love your style, and your personality, and I think you are awesome. But...... I HATE these Amps. I think they sound like absolute garbage. I've been wanting so bad to like this series. But I just can't do it. But ... the big thing here is... we are all chasing a certain tone, or family of tones.... and I can't get what I like to do with these. Others probably can, though.
The best new mini amp, is Mooer sd10i great amp simulator. Nice price in Europe EUR 140.00 New amazing mooer guitar msc 10pro Super guitar price EUR 175.00 😮😮😮😮🎉🎉
Love that Mets shirt Joe.

Cool amp. Seems very versatile. Blackstar looks much cooler than "Line 6".
Thanks Joe. I've been thinking about getting one of them

You're going to love using the Architect on this great amp. I certainly miss mine😶🌫️
Great deal!
Terrific Deal! I paid a heck of a lot more for my Katana MKII, I would of gladly taken this if it was available at the time. Good luck with it enjoy!
@@Frank-in-NY How can it compare to a Katana? Im getting a Katana Artist Gen 3 1x12 soon and would like any info. 🤔🤘🎸

Mine comes today!
Have we reached a point where tube amps are headed to the museum?
Nah. The recording studio will always be a home for tube amps. 🙂

Totally agree! Be well Nella.
So, hows that Blackstar working for you after a few days? Im thinking about getting one myself, and any info would be appreciated. 🤔🎸

TH-cam has plenty of comparisons. I don't have enough amps to do justice.
I think the Mini is better at $200, but you can't do better than that amp for $89.

In the U.S. that model competes at $200 plus price point. More in line with the Positive Grid Spark 40 than this ID Core 20.
