Out of all of the cards in the world, I admire Bilt the most. Lots of great transfer partners and more always on the way and no annual fee plus double points sometimes. All of it encourages spending.
I think my gold may be going as well. I am always working on a sub, so the gold just sits there. Maybe if I am gardening it will stay!! Great video Matt!!!

After reevaluating my card portfolio I let go of the Amex Gold. I have other cards bringing in restaurants and groceries rewards so I was prioritizing the Amex Gold for $250 for food spend crazy. I also recently added the Amex Platinum which is a true travel card with tons of status and value I needed to make room for the AF so I put a end to the Amex Gold.
Yeah, my Amex Gold is also being replaced. I’ve been using the Bilt card for general dining (non-mobile-wallet restaurants) and it’s been fantastic as a no annual fee card! Having a dual Citi Custom cash P2 strategy opens a lot of doors for those everyday expenses! Excited times Matt! Hope you get approved for those next cards on your list!
Nice! Yeah obviously the AR is a fantastic Mobile Wallet Restaurant option, but using the Bilt Card outside of that makes sense for how high the upside is. Thats a nice strategy leaning into Bilt more and taking advantage of a couple CCC's. The Gold card is my biggest earner but the Flex slows the spend a little bit due to Q1 & Q2 cat. Great video and cards 👍
Sounds like you have a great credit card strategy for the spring, Matt! I like the idea of having multiple Citi Custom Cash cards! I have thought about getting another Citi card and product changing it after a year into another Custom Cash card that I will use for dining or groceries. While the World of Hyatt card is a great card for the annual free night, I think it's a good idea to get one of the IHG Premier cards. I have had the personal IHG Premier card for almost two years and I plan to hold onto it for years to come. Best of luck on getting the Venture X card! I think you have a pretty good chance of getting it being that you're pre-approved for it and as long as you maintain the low number of credit inquiries.

You will love the Citi Premier once you add it in time lots of value and ability to transfer points for travel. I opened the US Bank Altitude Go card a few days ago, it's a solid Amex Gold replacement and one I plan to use very often for restaurants alongside my Amex Green card! C1 Savor One is a solid option for all food and entertainment. Good idea adding the Citi Custom Cash alongside P2's Custom Cash, I like your roadmap lot's of value!

Something I wish I would have done last year when I was spending on my new Hyatt card was stop at 14950 or so forgo the last bit of bonus points and then go over 15 k towards the end of year as I would then have a free night certificate with expiration date close to end of year. As opposed to doing all the spending and having a May exp certificate.

Good luck on the VX application. Some people get pre approved and still end up being denied. You should be okay tho, I don’t recall you having too many credit cards.

I hate the Hyatt card; will cancel this year after my free stay. even in the Netherlands, I could not find a hotel in the category 4 in the city; only close to the airport; it worked out because I get a day of rest there before flying back. But nothing in most places.

With seeing so many cancelling Amex is it worth jumping on the Amex platinum if I know it’s one and done for the 175k sign up and I already have the gold? I’m not too sure how much I’ll get out of the credits and the multipliers don’t help much either. The 175k is nice but I wasn’t sure because of the 695 fee
I think it could definitely make sense. 175k points is the highest offer we’ve seen and you could always test the waters for Year 1 and ask for a retention offer in Year 2. Thanks for watching Mark!
I typically don’t have regular expenses necessarily that I put on my Hotel Cards. Right now, I am putting a decent amount of spending on my Hilton Surpass since im working toward the spend on the Upgrade Offer. Typically my Hotel Cards are most used for Status & Free Nights though. Thanks for watching!
I believe after 18 months, but that's if there's no activity. If you just transferred like 1,000 points over at some point even, that would count as activity and wouldn't expire.
