Yup take ur time installing it and change the compressor relay it might come in the box with compressor Make sure u pull the fuse before u start

On the airline the top metal piece there is a small round screw that can be easily broken at the very top. I used my needle nosed wrench to break it off. That allowed me to pull off the metal piece at the end so that I could push the air compressor line into the pump
Didn’t understand what u mean the round metal price that locks the line in? That’s what u mean
@@RBTheMechanic No typos all over the place lol I was saying that the metal small piece on the white air suspension line, I just used my needle nose pliers to break it off. Once the small top metal piece broke off I was able to just pull the rest off to free up the line so that I could push it in the new compressor

Forgot to put the clamp back on the air intake line on the compressor, its gonna pop off and suck dust & dirt again into the new compressor & the valve block. Always replace the intake filter whenever you replace the compressor… $6 for Mann WK32/7. At the dealer it comes with the hose for $160
No we did it the pipe was too short got new one

I bought AMK / Arnott Compressor for my GL450, and it came with a Relay .
it's a black cube thing, but I don't see a black cube relay in the fuse box (under the hood on the passenger side).
All the cube relays in that fuse box are colorful, not black.
Which one am I suppose to replace?
U have to find the location on this compressor pump relay

Zar Jacob these benzs are a piece of shit. Almost everything that can go wrong has happen to mines. As a result I can build the damn car myself with the exception of downloading software. Lucky I have a friend who can do it for me.
Bro great video i know its 2 years old. My gl450 got the MALFUNCTION for suspension i cant scan the air suspension for some odd reason...any advice how can i raise it or or to fix that issue
Well check ur fuse that one u see me pull in this video other wise start up the car and try to listen to see if ur pump come on u should be able to heat it also u can touch it from up too so u can put out ur hand and feel it if it dosent come on then most likely ur pump is bad it’s common on these
@@RBTheMechanic ill check the pump out this weekend.. I see on your video you found a hose at the pump that was broken. I found the same one on mine..would cause that issue( pump not kick in and fuse is good...)

This shouldn’t have anything to do with car staying on. Was the issue there before u changed it?

Just an update, took the truck to the shop, fuse box issues, not related to the install, will give you an update when completed. However, the instructions n video was on point. Thanks!!

Should you change the valve block with the compressor?

GL450 2011-Bro I changed the valve body block, repaired the cracked compressor intake hose, replaced the intake filter, replaced the 40 amp fuse, replaced last year both front air springs but I still have the level malfunction? can you give me advice on whats going on, I dont want to pay the dealer $179 for diagnoses.

I can hear a pump for 10 sec after I turn off the diesel engine
is this a problem
Michel Nadon I think that’s a normal for diesel but I’m not expert on those
Did you disconnect the battery or just pulled the fuse?
Only pull the fuse that cuts all the power out

I have 2011 450 gl. It was my air shocks that needed to be changed not the air pump
Usully that would lean the car down if it’s slow leak but if it’s large leak pump will keep running and car will not stay up

Good practice is to change the Pump filter and a new relay at the same time, only another $25

Thanks for the video! But after changing it, now the engine stalls after a few seconds when the compressor wants to start, I changed it to the old compressor with the same issue, any help will be appreciated, thanks
Scan the car it could be low rpm!! What is the rpm Maybe throttle cleaning will help

You forgot the washers on the spring mounts, honest mistake.

Hi I replaced the xompresspr after my bags were low and replaced the rear air bags too, but now when I start the car there's a loud vibration,need help.
Check ur pump it either bad or loose check the rubber mount bushings
@@RBTheMechanic okay although I'm curious does quality of the pump also cause this ? Cause I bought the only available air compressor I could find in the area and now I'm really regretting it. I had a Profesional mechanic install them so wanted your opinion on this too, also thank you for the vid.
@@archiij1707 quality dose matter but it shouldn’t make noise should be kinda silent to hear
@@RBTheMechanic so they had a look at it again and now the vibrating is lower but can still hear it, i have a 16 gl450, so is it the fuse that needs to be changed cause they're recommending i get a different air compressor, cause this is off a lower quality.

Trouble shooting air pump will not come on.
Check power in the big Tex cable and ground in black cable the 2 wires main one also check fuse and change out relay
Never heard a “mechanic” call an air line a wire before.
Now u have but it’s common sense I can get mixed up not a big deal
