It's wonderful to see another avid reader. I'm old enough to be your grandmother. Last year I had an estate sale in New Mexico for my late Mom. A preteen came with her Mom and asked if there we any books. I asked her if she had heard of Anne of Green Gables and she hadn't. I gave her a book to see if she liked it. She did so I gave her all of Lucy Maude Montgomery's books. It was the only time I cried during the sale because I knew Mom would have been thrilled to have a young lady enjoying her books. 🇨🇦
Lovely gifts for a lovely young to get you thru a difficult time on your way back to lovely life. Brought tears of joy for you. Thanks to all who could help her❤❤❤❤

Me too. I’m in my 50s. I think it’s great to see younger people reading because so many of them don’t anymore. It makes me happy.
By the way, Anne of Green Gables was one of the early books that absolutely captivated me at that level. I’ve always been a really avid reader myself, and even I don’t read as much as I used to. But I remember how wonderful it was to get into Anne of Green Gable’s life. What a great book. I believe I still have the copy that I got when I was 10 years old. Maybe I need to look for that one. I have so many books lol. Maybe you can relate.
Don’t worry about the doubles. I’m sure you can donate them at the hospital where you have chemo. My daughter would do that when she received too many gifts during her cancer journey. Prayers and love from Ohio, USA. -Denee

I've been diagnosed with small-cell lung cancer. I've three masses in a lung, and I'm seeing someone in three days about starting chemo. This will give me time, but the cancer will always come back, so it's just about time now and how long I'll have to store memories in. You are a great help with your positive outlook; thank you for inspiring me to not just run and hide; after all, I am a man.

Hi Jess. As a Grandma and Great Grandma, it warms my heart to see a young person in love with reading. I wish I could pass your passion on to my teen granddaughters. They miss so much by using their phones to text friends and watch music videos. Not that there is anything wrong with that. I just wish they would add books, even audiobooks. I believe reading helps develop imagination. Here's wishing you all the love and happiness the universe provides. Good luck in your travels.

Enjoy reading all those books Jess!! I'm glad to find another bookworm like myself, when I have the time that is!! LOL 🤣 Stay strong, stay positive, Chemotherapy is going to be a witch, but if you double up on Vitamin C, D and E, and drink a lot of Low Acid Orange Juice, you will never miss a treatment. It worked for both my mother and myself when we had Cancer and had to undergo Chemotherapy. And I'm now more that 32 years clear, and my mother is more than 10 years clear. I love to read too! Nothing takes you away from the current world troubles or your personal worries than getting lost in a novel! For me, it has to be a book, not kindle or any form of electronic version. I am so glad to see a young woman such as yourself, reading! I hope you encourage others to do so! I didn’t read much until my kids grew up.
Then my sister got me into reading the “Harry Potter” series.
Then the “Twilight” series. Also a series of Amish books by Beverly??? Also most of the James Patterson (murder mystery stuff) but only read during the day😮. I do like a variety of story lines.
The books take me out of reality lol to anywhere the story line goes.
I savor every sentence because I don’t want to miss a thing and I remember 80% of all the books I’ve read.
Read and savor where the author takes you😃. God Bless.

Readers gifting readers is so fun! The gift of reading is life long. Out here we're all taking notes & going down rabbit trails seeing your choices to add to our list! I keep a book case solely for my unreads. Reminding me to shop at home! One recommendation, if you tire of reading your library most likely has recorded books. I dump them on to my phone all the time!

Please read the Outlander series. Nice long books, and lots of them. They are so much more detailed than the TV show

It’s so awesome that people who gave/are giving such great reading material. When you go for the treatments you should take home some emesis bags for those puke days. I have one by my bed and any place that I like stay in the house. This way if it’s possible that the bathroom might be occupied or to far away you have a receptacle! Then you can throw it away. Do not get the emesis basins because they just act as a deflector. You may want to put one in the vehicle as well. Just remember if you didn’t have to use it during the travel time. Just remember to replace what you used. I hope you find this helpful. Enjoy the books!

I love your puppy, Piper. Exactly the breed I want so bad. I can’t get a dog, living in a Senior Active Apartment. So I will love your dog when I watch either you or your mom when she is watching your baby when you are resting or at the hospital for your treatments.

I just finished a reread of all of Mariana Zapata’s books last week. They are like popcorn. You just can’t stop once you start. Hands Down was my favorite. (Yes, it’s a football romance.)
Could you do a video on how you annotate your books? That would be awesome! I don't read and wish I did read more (I haven't picked up a book since I was 16, I'm 22 now) - maybe annotating can get me into reading more as I know it helps with being more in tune with the storyline. It would be helpful learning from an expert! x
