Great video! I finally took the time to watch it and loved it. Nothing can be planned in the wild, but you do your best to control what you can. Nikolai did his part by executing his stalks and shots perfectly. No shame! Congrats to him!
Unbelievable!!!! Feel bad for your buddy. I am stunned that billy ran out on to that rock. Water was moving way to fast to make any type of retrieval. Fantastic video!!! Great hunts!!
Bummer luck but Nicolai took it like a champ. Hr seems like an awesome I've, positive guy. Good on him. FWIW, I've been a river rat my whole life and been running rivers self supported for over 30 years... I wouldn't jump in that water in my dry-suit and vest unless someone's life was at stake and I had my buddy with throw-bags watching me. Absolutely crazy... amazing footage.

Que pena ver al macho rodando en el agua, entiendo la tristeza del cazador , pero parece que se lo tomo con mucha deportividad. I feel your pain Pedro! I have similar experience years ago, I shot an elk with bow in a late season hunt in December. The elk rolled off a cliff into rain swollen river, I was able to recover it but was very wet and cold!
