- Hi folks,
since this year does not provide any offers for scale model exhibitions I would like to do some videos about past exhibitions within the next months helping to close this gap … so ... more „On Display“ Videos will be coming soon :-)
This video shows the best dioramas that could be seen at the Faszination Modellbau Friedrichshafen in November 2018. I hope you like the collection.
The shown Dioramas are not my own works ... they are done by various artists and displayed on the Scale Model Exhibition 2018.
I simply did the photos and the compilation :-)

I love watching these videos because 90% are pure inspiration - i sit there and marvel at the skill on display and can only dream of being good enough to even consider doing something like that. the detail, originality, finish, drama, etc its all great to see and I find really aspirational. The other 10% are at roughly my level more or less and viewing others at the same skill/experience level allows you to view their builds critically. This ability to view builds and specific aspects of builds in a critical way is a necessary skill to have, its one of those things you don't even know you don't know when you start and it only becomes clearer later on. That "critical eye" is how you get to be one of the 90% on here I reckon. Well, that and skill, flair, experience, resources and a LOT of time hahahahaha
Hi Chris ... same same for me :-) ... that was the reason for this and my other Videos about Models on display ... i is inspiration an challenging in the same time. i decided to carry on even when i´m not able to get close to the artwork of this folks ... at lest i will try and get more experience. As you sad ... the more you are going into the depth ... the more you find out how much effort and skill are visible in this great artwork. All of it very good, but that King Tiger going up onto the low loader...... my god, stunning. Low loader driver myself, he’s got every detail perfect 👌right down to the tank driver ‘making eye contact’ with the banksman on the trailer deck!...love it 👏👏👏👏

I must say I have missed going to the shows this year. Hopefully there may be some later in the year. This is a great video to help with those missed shows. Many thanks

Hallo Joachim, vielen lieben Dank :-) … einige der großen Dioramen haben mich echt umgehauen … es findet so viel statt … kleine und große Geschichten … toll :-) … mit Ried muss man schauen … aber wenn es wirklich stattfindet werd ich versuchen hinzufahren … vielleicht mit Carsten wenn es hinhaut … würde gen mal wieder ne große Ausstellung besuchen :-) … wünsch dir ein erholsames Wochenende, Gruß Markus

WHERE DO YOU STORE ALL OF THEM! My wife would have a fit if i had that many. Had a hell of a time convincing her to let me use the back room for a paint/model room, and it was my house before we got together!!!
