To echo cinnamons comment, I too was having issues with this until i chose to download the x86_64 version and also being on a good wifi connection helped (was originally using my phone hotspot and I kept getting weird error messages)

@@Emuland69 you forgot a crucial step. Click the pencil before launching, check the window size box and change it to 1280 x 800 TRUST ME it makes everything better
For those who are saying you pressed execute and nothing happened, what worked for me was choosing the other x86 launcher.

Hey, it asks me what app I want to open the download with. What do I select?
This was working great for me for about a month. unfortunately now I cant sign into my account and repeatedly get error code: Drowned. If any one has a solution please lmk

Mine is working awesome and like 30c cooler than the discover store version for linux. But sadly the controller is bugged? For the menu button mainly for incentory. Have to tap it twice to enter inventory. Any fixes?

@@YoSoyHabid In the launcher, click on the "pencil" icon next to the Play button. There, set the Window size to 1280x800. This fixed the issue for me.

@@okay7464 I don't really know (as I did not play much of the game before changing this setting), but it is true that the UI is quite large now.
I had to turn down the GUI Scale Modifier in the Accessibility settings (accessible in-game) to -1 to make it an acceptable size.

if in the end result it runs on my system of preference, i'm willing to go through the 30 minutes of extra effort for it instead of resorting to an os group i don't even like (win 10 and higher)

Hi, I followed this tutorial to the tee and it does launch just fine, however, when i sign into my google account, it says "Failed to obtain apk url" and tells me to ask google again. Has anyone else ran into this? I do own the game, both java and bedrock, not sure why it doesn't let me boot up the game.
I'm getting the same problem. He does mention in the video that this is downloading the Google Play version. I don't own the Google Play version and I think this is the issue. I'm looking for other options.

Dude yes! I finally solved it lol, I thought since I owned the bedrock edition in general…. That it’d be fine… but yeah I went to the Google play store and bought it. It worked instantly.

If you want to follow this guide, you’ll need to buy it from google play. If you want Java, I believe you buy that from Minecraft.net.
Doesn’t appear to work with friends actually. Realms always works as it’s paid, but other players can’t join this app.

I found out this is a bug on the android version which this uses. Hopefully they fix it. It happens on my android phone as well.
If I use this version of Minecraft and I wanted to download shaders, would I use mobile shaders or pc shaders?
Since this is technically the mobile version, Id say you use the mobile shaders.

Before you launch the game click the pencil, checkmark the windows size box and make it 1280 x 800
Launch game go into settings, video and choose extra large.
Then enjoy the rewards
