If you brick an SD card, you can use a NIntendo Switch to unbrick it, if you have one. Put the SD card in your Switch and format it like you were formatting it to use with the Switch, then put it into a desktop Windows PC and format it with ExFAT. Then you can put it back in the Steam Deck and try the formatting again and it should work.

When he got to the battery part, I did not expect him to mention turning the frame rate down to 40 frames. I thought he was going to say that you should buy an external battery.. I got one for around $50 off Amazon and it has been such a good investment . I just leave it in my bag for work, And If my steam Jack gets low battery or even my cell phone or something I plug it in and it seems to charge honestly faster than the wall chargers that they come with. I highly suggest taking a look at an external battery, but I also do not suggest you attatching it permanently to the back of your steam deck like I have seen multiple TH-cam videos of people doing.. People always mentioned that the steam deck is heavy, especially at 1st use when you have never held on before. So don't go adding another pound or more from a battery on the back of it haha
Beginner tip for the skin! Be careful with the SD card slot while putting it on or removing the skin. When I first got my skin debrand I accidentally popped out my SD card without realizing and snapped it in half. I'd recommend putting on the skin really carefully or turning off the steam deck and taking the SD card out when you put the skin on.
