I appreciate you all giving this new series a chance. I'd love to keep making more of these. There's so many games or groups of games that would be fun to make a video on.
Yes!!! I’ve always felt Age of War was an iconic cultural touchstone of my generation of internet-users, would love to see a video about that if possible!
Getting so many flashbacks to miniclip and addicting games while watching this.
My entire childhood was playing flash games. Please continue this series!
Those nostalgia feels @Tigerstar. I remember fondly playing these awesome flash games in there early noughties.
Lol this is so relevant to my childhood interests. This one was my go to during computer time at school.
I'm very glad I downloaded a few of my most-played swf games from back in the day. Heli Attack 3 was always a favourite. I remember the taser, sound wave and bladerang being my favourite weapons to save for the last type of helicopters - the bladerang in particular was able to do massive damage if you timed it right with a quick reload.
Other flash games that I'm rather nostalgic towards are Motherload (where you're a Mars miner in a mining digger vehicle) and the simpler but classic Pandemic II (which HEAVILY inspired Plague Inc) and Age of War (rather akin to an extremely simplified version of Age of Empires). However, if I had to choose a flash game series that was most dear to my heart, it would be Sonny and Sonny II released on Armor Games. They were turn-based fantasies that featured cutscenes, voice acting and an actually pretty resonant soundtrack.
Oh man, I remember playing the tutorial for heliattack 2 so much, trying all the weapons. I really sucked at actually playing the game though.
I just liked putting in the cheat code and playing around with the weapons in the tutorial level ☺
I like the video quality overall, but you gotta admit that in hindsight the OST of some of this games don't make for such pleasant listening on loop.
I hope we get a video on ‘On The Run’ next, I used to play that all the time, and there is actually a small speed running community for the game
Ok but now you HAVE to talk about Age of War 2
Most Flash games back then would get more love than most games nowadays. Sad.
These were rip offs of Metal Slug, which has its own PC version as well…
The trial version of Metal Slug was like top of the chart for quite a while on Chinese flash websites in the early 2000s
Metal Slug started as an arcade sidescroller shooter, which was super common. Heli Attack didn't rip it off, they were just both in the same genre and on different platforms.
