Story time: I was playing through Far Cry New Dawn, and I had a mission at New Eden marked on my map. Me and Carmina weren't actually going there, we were actually trying to save Nick Rye. Sadly every time I died on that mission, which was a lot, I would respawn 1600 metres away. Anyways, me and Carmina had taken a boat to get to Nick, however on the way, I noticed an island surrounded by strange particles that looked vaguely reminiscnt of the bliss from Far Cry 5. Curious, I docked there and investigated the island. The next thing I knew, the island was surrounded by purple fog, and I heard the voice of Joseph Seed. When I made my way to the 3rd talisman puzzle, the ranger station one, I realised where I was. I checked my map and, yes. I was back where it had all started. Dutches Island. After I completed the final puzzle, I followed the ghostly apparition of Joseph into Dutches bunker, and I found the book. I thought: "Well that was trippy" and carried on playing. I didn't think anything of it until way later. I saved Nick and did a few more missions, upgrading prosperity, and that eventually pissed off the twins. I had to defend prosperity with the help of my current gun for hire, Pastor Jerome. After the cutscene when Thomas Rush said we had to go to Joseph seed, I remembered what happened on the island. I did the New Eden story mission (Which is what the book was for) and long later, I beat the game. Then literally yesterday, I was looking for all of Tracey's photo locations, and the last place I had to go was the Mastadon Geothermal Park (Aka Chateau Boshaw). Once again I had decided to take the river to get there. On the way I came to a broken down bridge, and along the train tracks leading to the bridge, I saw these strange structures with the PEGgie symbol on them. Each of them said something like: "Where's the book?" "The book is the key" I found those two along the tracks, and later I was doing the "Go With The Flow" treasure hunt/prepper stash, and I found another one that said "Find the book" And that's when everything clicked. The book was the key, not only to New Eden, but the rest of the story, and the true ending for Hope County. The... End.
Maybe I'm wrong, but why doesn't anyone talk about the kind of rpg state of this game, having a health bar? Like no one talks about that absolutely new aspect from 5
Looking forward to playing this. Being able to abandon captured outposts... only to recapture for better loot (ie ethanol) sounds fun. The main reason I kept replaying FC5 Game+ was for the outposts... and to learn everything about Faith (my favorite character). And improved stealth (which is how I prefer to play games) mechanics... I've already preordered. Just wish you could "import" a few guns from FC5... that would be sweet.
I don't think more outpost grinding is what people wanted is it? Would be cool if some kind of real estate system was added, some kind of way to make money from the outposts we take over. Oh well though I'll probably just lock in the outpost and finish the game before I get burned out.
To be fair to the developers, the game takes place 17 years after the nuclear apocalypse, which is only 2-3 generations for most of the game animals you'd encounter. So I wouldn't expect them to go too crazy with the mutated flora and fauna. Fallout 4 took place over two centuries after the nuclear apocalypse, giving living things plenty of time to mutate, so the crazy creatures you encounter feel more plausible.
I understand they did add the ability for your animal sidekicks to ride in vehicles with you. Now that was a good move. The first time I wanted to take a car and get somewhere quicker, while accompanied by an animal, I was torn because I had Peaches with me and I didn't realize she would just turn up wherever I went. Real tutorials would be a great improvement for the series. Everyone has a first time playing one of these games. The guidance on the mechanics of it all is very lacking IMHO.
8:30 YESSS!!! The grappling hook is back! I was kinda worried cause I hadn't seen it in any of the footage on TH-cam I was pretty sure it was in there but now I'm certain
Game looks really, really good! I am confused over one thing. I thought there was only one nuke in Far Cry 5, and it only went off in Montana? How did that work? Did the country just say "eff this" and abandon the state? Or was there a larger apocalypse, multiple detonations around the country or world that collapsed society on a massive scale?
If you listen to the radio in game, the news reports talk about escalations with foreign nations and how the president has been evacuated from The White House, prior to the end game nukes. I don't think you are supposed to think Joseph Seed had anything to due with the nuke. He just got lucky predicting a "collapse", but he didn't know it was coming like that.
But the thing is, they know there are extensive similarities which is why it isn’t full priced. You guys are right it is essentially a glorified dlc but it’s still technically a new game and they could have made it full priced so that’s something
Honestly, I’m surprised at the number of changes. They could have easily just re-skinned FC5, but with some of the mechanics like levelled enemies, escalation outposts and a player base for resource collecting, it seems much more than that.
A shot of pure ethanol is way safer to drink than whiskey as it doesn’t contain impurities like sugar. Also it’s legal to have in your house if you’re a chemistry teacher in the Middle East, just sayin...
Now I'm think about whether or not if I should get this dlc or separate game. I already own far cry 5 but can't be sure if I want this, but at least I can finally kill Joseph unlime the og 5 campaign.
the game look pretty good i like it, but the RPG type game? the division was kind of hard but who knows the game have potential to be good like the first game
I agree with people who say the far cry games are repetitive, but I’m going to be honest I’m really excited for this game, but I’m probably going to wait for a sale
When are they going to add shooting ballistics from Sniper Elite, Driving SIm like Gran Turismo, Red Dead style open online community and online players playing as guards in all outposts.
so I have to ask, far cry new dawn, I noticed health bars with notches and numbers spitting out of hte enemy, is new dawn taking the ubisoft method of progression in which its loot based like AC Odyssey and origin
the game itself isn't bad i was just hoping there would be more variety of weapons, there are more american made weapons aside from AR-15 and one type of SMG. adding more attachment options to the weapons wouldn't be too bad either.
Next Far Cry will be a Complete RPG Game, with rare, epic, legendary loot, maybe it will be like Assassin's Origins and Odyssey, drastically changed, and Players slipting up :P but if that's the case, i'm really excited to see what happens
When something kills off the normal native life it becomes filled with the fastest or strongest species that can survive there. There's a plant that's taken over Chernobyl because its the hardiest against the radiation. I believe the same happened with bomb sites in the UK (not nuclear bombs obviously). Canada's iconic maple leaf might have been a Beech leaf if it wasn't for the Native Americans who cut down all the trees to help promote more buffalo herds. The maple tree outgrows the beech and hence the famous leaf is a maple.

I was playing through Far Cry New Dawn, and I had a mission at New Eden marked on my map.
The... End.
I love how they took characters from Far Cry 5 and not make new ones, it adds up more on the story and the characters overall
Maybe I'm wrong, but why doesn't anyone talk about the kind of rpg state of this game, having a health bar? Like no one talks about that absolutely new aspect from 5
"im not sure how it works" its a superbloom, real thing caused by intense showers following the dry sand of a fallout
I’m just excited for this game because I wanna see StealthGamerBR play it lol
Same
Whats with people enjoying watching other people play games its unnatural
Professor Farnsworth watch one video of his and you’ll understand lol
I don't think more outpost grinding is what people wanted is it? Would be cool if some kind of real estate system was added, some kind of way to make money from the outposts we take over. Oh well though I'll probably just lock in the outpost and finish the game before I get burned out.
Imagine a Far Cry game set in a sprawling metropolis setting?
Use wrath perk and double jump at the same time. You don't need a weapon if you have both.
8:30 YESSS!!! The grappling hook is back! I was kinda worried cause I hadn't seen it in any of the footage on TH-cam I was pretty sure it was in there but now I'm certain
I can't wait to play Far Cry New Dawn.
Me too! Preordered it!
@@fethdor noce
Me to! I pre ordered it
I mean it’s not fallout 76 or actvision/Ea game so imma pre order too
@@vadimm3521 *noice
Anybody else notice he was picking up those gears at "Dicks Hole" lol
How did the highwaymen find all that body paint and spray paint after the nuclear apocalypse
I will most definately be playing this with background Synthwave. Especially tunes from Le Matos in the Turbo Kid.
That eye stab has to be the most brutal takedown/execution in recent years.
Nice vid. Im looking forward to playing this. Looks really good. Love these ubisoft open worlds.
Do you think its better than FC5?
Hmm the saw blade launcher, is the ripper from UT 2004!
Its called a superbloom, the developers researched into it and experts believe that a super bloom is very likely in a nuclear fallout
Can't wait til release
I already preordered and want to play this game. :)
I don't have the money 😭
I have the money
When is it anyways?
@@shaqueeshameeshachaneeshal4339 it's now
Horizon Zero Dawn also did the colorful after math apocalypse setting.
A shot of pure ethanol is way safer to drink than whiskey as it doesn’t contain impurities like sugar. Also it’s legal to have in your house if you’re a chemistry teacher in the Middle East, just sayin...
DLC : the game
Hahahaha
Now I'm think about whether or not if I should get this dlc or separate game. I already own far cry 5 but can't be sure if I want this, but at least I can finally kill Joseph unlime the og 5 campaign.
the game look pretty good i like it, but the RPG type game? the division was kind of hard but who knows the game have potential to be good like the first game
I bought the limited steelbook separately for this game, as I will play it digitally on pc... I loved 5 and will play this one sure...
I agree with people who say the far cry games are repetitive, but I’m going to be honest I’m really excited for this game, but I’m probably going to wait for a sale
THAT TAKEDOWN THO
Please give us a Far Cry Jurassic park style game, would love to wander around the island with a t-rex hunting you down
Do you still get a bonus if you complete the outside stealthy?
Is it weird that I'm ok to be called a sinner in far cry 5 and not a rabbit in far cry new dawn
I can't wait to play this, it looks like so much fun
Why does this game give me a destiny 2 type of feeling the vibrant colors and the friendly outpost reminds me of the hubs
a Wasteland is suppose to be miserable nuclear Armageddon is not meant to have trees and flowers
It’s like you haven’t seen the other far cry games with a lot of more blood.
"For Whom The Bell Tolls" is a book written by Ernest Hemingway...
Its prosperity not providence
When are they going to add shooting ballistics from Sniper Elite, Driving SIm like Gran Turismo, Red Dead style open online community and online players playing as guards in all outposts.
so I have to ask, far cry new dawn, I noticed health bars with notches and numbers spitting out of hte enemy, is new dawn taking the ubisoft method of progression in which its loot based like AC Odyssey and origin
I feel like 17 years is a very short amount of time for a place to be habitable after so many nukes in such a small area went off
This should have been a expansion pass not a whole new game
Nah. I'd actually considering playing this but have no interest in Far Cry 5. I wouldn't want to have to buy a game I don't want just to get one I do.
It looks awesome and I want it. But I hope that games like farcry 4 still are possible
the game itself isn't bad i was just hoping there would be more variety of weapons, there are more american made weapons aside from AR-15 and one type of SMG. adding more attachment options to the weapons wouldn't be too bad either.
I hope it's 4 player coop but I'm excited for this game
Reaper Olewiler i Think its only two player Coop
@@callmetoby6202 same but I hope 4 player so I can play with my bros and keep the girl gamer fortntie wannabaes out
Reaper Olewiler The only FarCry game that’s 4 player coop is FC3.
Can't wait to roam this world. Am playinvFar Cry 5 on Infamous at the moment
Next Far Cry will be a Complete RPG Game, with rare, epic, legendary loot,
maybe it will be like Assassin's Origins and Odyssey, drastically changed, and Players slipting up :P
but if that's the case, i'm really excited to see what happens
Finally someone who isn't just complaining about the game
When something kills off the normal native life it becomes filled with the fastest or strongest species that can survive there. There's a plant that's taken over Chernobyl because its the hardiest against the radiation. I believe the same happened with bomb sites in the UK (not nuclear bombs obviously). Canada's iconic maple leaf might have been a Beech leaf if it wasn't for the Native Americans who cut down all the trees to help promote more buffalo herds. The maple tree outgrows the beech and hence the famous leaf is a maple.
Why has Ubisoft gone for this arcadey crap, the health bars and score points flashing up are so annoying, it looks like they are doing what they did to assasins creed
Thanks for the upload mate 👍👍👍
Postapo in green and pink colours looks very nice. But when will we see farcry primal continuation ;(?
Too many other good games coming out to play a modded version of FC5. I’ll wait till it hits $20 or lower.
EpicBeardBro Anthem is the only other February game worth playing. Anything else is garbage compared to New Dawn
jbroti 004 For me ... Sekiro and Metro Last Light are easily on my must play list before this. By 1000 miles....
How about the melees on the guns (if the sandbox has those) and boomers grave was at the stash (the bear whom toll)
That hooded guy at the gate of new Eden is actually your character from Far Cry 5
