Hi ! It's amazing! It's wonderful video! Thank you for showing me the wonderful city. Great high quality video!Big like()! 👍👍👍!! I really like it! Very interesting! Thank you for sharing! Have a nice day !
Hello there! Glad you enjoyed it. Honfeur is one of my favorite old towns in Normandy. Your wonderful comment is well appreciated 😀. Thanks for watching, and have a great day 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! I drove a rental car, but you can check out public transport available. No train station in Honfleur, but you can arrive from Paris by bus. Here is one option I found on a quick search: global.flixbus.com/bus-routes/bus-paris-honfleur Thanks for watching, stay safe and take care 😀👍
One of the brightest TH-cam videos I've seen today! Incredible colors! Greetings! It's a pleasure to watch your video! Great walk! Excellent shots in my life! A job well done! Thank you for sharing and great mood! 👍👍👍
Thanks so much for this video. I will make it a point to visit Honfleur in the future. Always wanted to visit Normandy and haven't, but now I simply can't wait to get there.
Hello there! Glad you enjoyed my Honfleur video. We miss France and look forward to returning some year. Your wonderful comment is well appreciated 😀. Thanks for watching, and have a great day 👍
Glad you liked it! The old wooden bell tower was my favorite. Your wonderful comment is well appreciated 😀. Thanks for watching, and have a great weekend 👍
Wow! I agree, this is a journey back in time! Very informative walk through this old and historic village! Amazing how they preserved all these structures, especially the wooden one. They are not being ruined by storm or termites? Interesting story also about a painter named Boudin. He did an exceptional works and he deserved to be remembered! Amazing video Jim! Well, as always:) Have a great Sunday!
Glad you liked it! It is amazing there old wooden structures have so far withstood time. I think the biggest threat to them is fire. A year or two after we were in Dinan (another great video you will like), on of the old wood-timbered buildings burnt down as it was used as a restaurant (I mention it in my video as well). As for Boudin, my wife really liked his story, as she is a big fan of Monet. Thanks for watching. Your wonderful compliments are well appreciated 😀. Have a great day 👍
Glad you liked it!.Yeah, Solvang California also has wood-timbered European architecture - we visited there probably 25-30 years ago - Lol. Thanks for watching, your wonderful comment and support. 😀👍
Thank you for introducing this enchanting litte village! There was much to learn and many beautiful pictures to see. I really enjoyed your film. Warm greetings, Anita
Glad you liked it! We really enjoyed our driving trip through France in 2017. Thanks for watching, your wonderful comment and support. 😀 Take care and enjoy your day👍
Such rich history I’m happy it wasn’t ruined during WWII. This town looks like a movie set😮. Watching your videos make me think that Canada lacks culture. I’d love to visit Europe when the virus is gone and the kids are older. Have a great weekend my friend😊
Glad you liked it, Jeremy 😀. Yeah, Europe has so much history and managed to retain a good portion of it. I like to learn a bit about a places history. We loved our drive through France as shown by those videos - we actually had planned a 3-week driving trip back in September (eastern France, Black Forest Germany, and Switzerland) - that we cancelled due to covid. Nice that mainland Europe drives on the right hand side like us. I'm afraid to drive in the UK - being a creature of habit. Some year you will go and enjoy it. You have a great weekend to, my friend! 👍
Another well done piece Jim, Pretty old town, lots of interesting nooks and crannies. I did not particularly like the old wooden structures, they don't have that elegance that old stone building have.
Hi Steve! Glad you liked it - I agree the stone buildings have more charm. Your wonderful compliment is well appreciated 😀. Thanks for watching, and have a great week 👍
Hi Janet & Erik. Glad you are interested in visiting Honfleur. My website is under development which is where I intend to place more detail on a walking tour. But if you send me your email address to haswelltravelled@gmail.com, I'll send you a document on my Honfleur walking tour. take care, Jim.
Fyi, Samuel Champlain left France in 1603 ,and sailed into what is now the harbour of Saint John New Brunswick Canada in 1604 , then on the Quebec in 1608 .
