I'm sitting in my class for psychology as I write this and I'm listening to Fr John while my class watches a film (fiction). I'm listening to him and trying to train that perspective that he's talking about -- where the "scales from the eyes" fall away and I can see the path of the New Man clearly. A truly brilliant theologian!
I’m reminded of the children’s stories of Pinocchio and The Velveteen Rabbit, in which the main characters become real only through being loved and offering their lives in loving sacrifice. May we all become real humans through transformation. St. Ireneus and St. Gregory were such amazing thinkers and writers! Thank you, Fr. John, for interpreting their profound insights!
