Hello Wings - I just picked up the mandello s - I pulled the cat off due to it running crazy hot and am using stock exhaust - and I feel that it is running better - maybe just in my mind ! Fir this exhaust - do you need the tune or is it optional ? Thanks
It is a bit lighter than the factory muffler but it’s negligible in the overall picture. The much improved throttle response came from installing aftermarket headers with a catalytic converter. The Slip on itself won’t do much unfortunately.
This one sounds great, much nicer than the Mistral, but not keen on the looks. It annoys me that it isn't parallel to the seat base, and I don't like the huge logo. MIVV are good quality though, had one on my previous bike for four years.😮
It is almost impossible to find anything that has not any branding on it or were it is made optional, not a fan of it either. I prefer no branding at all.
I did not like the look of the mistral, it will be my track day slip-on as I have no db killer for it. This one is a bit more tame in the lower rpm's with the db killer. Since they are so easy to switch out on the V100, I may start a collection ... lol
With the db Killer it seems to be just right noise wise. I will test it without the db Killer tomorrow, watch the community tab for results.

Yeah even with the DB killer in place its not bad at all. It’s rather tame at lower rpm’s but when you get on it, it does make some noise!

If you removed the CAT, I would highly recommend the up map tune. With the factory CAT, you don’t need it.
How do the catless headers sound with the stock muffler?

I think it sounds better and deeper without the cat and stock muffler. Feels punchier also.@@Autostrasse1
@ThatGermanFella they could have placed thst eagle somewhere else though, maybe on that "flap" piece of the fairing in front of the valve covers.
Not only that but they went from a good looking aluminum piece to a rather cheap looking painted plastic piece…

Nice....I put wheel/stripe tape with the Moto Guzzi V100 sticker on them on my bike, looks pretty good, are you going to do the same?
