I think Shania brought Country music to a wider audience by using Pop influences in her music! Plus she's just Gorgeous!
She is. I had a huge adult crush. Peace, Love!!
She's the female Garth Brooks in that way. Smashed barriers.
I don't think that's as true as you think. Bobbie Gentry, Crystal Gayle and Sylivia all had allot of very pop sounding songs. Even Jessie Colter did. So did Barbara Mandrell, and certainly her two Sisters. Then there was Deborah Allen. Crystal and Juice Newton had considerable crossover success. Lari White sang everything from traditional Country, to Pop, to Blues, to Jazz to Gospel. Her 3 Grammy's were all for Gospel. Even Holly Dunn's first album in '85 is about 80% Pop stuff. With only two really Country Sounding songs, both of which she wrote entirely on her own. "Two Too Many" and "Daddy's Hands". Holly's first single off her debut album "My Heart Hold's On" is a great song, but sounds more Sheena Easton than Holly Dunn. I much preferred Holly's more Country Stuff. Traditional Country many people are often convinced that they won't like, Only to find out quite differently. I have seen allot of people who never expected to like Travis Tritt, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Ed Bruce, Don Williams many others only to become big fans. Artists they never thought they would listen too.
dream on
Not trying to be rude here but nobody said Shania was the first or only female singer to bring country music to a wider audience by using pop influences. That does not change the fact that she still did though.
The same comment is equally true of Taylor Swift but again, she was not the first nor the only.
This song got her a LOT of attention when it came out, right before she hit it big... Her next video was "Any Man of Mine" which catapulted her to superstar status...
Yep, and she showed her belly button and country music almost banned how for it
@@JasonWicklund I have heard that. I was stunned by the Mid-drift myself. However, if you look back Bobbie Gentry was wearing them over 25 years before Shania did. There's got to be allot of Lari White fans out there. Speak up please Loved Shania but Lari was my Girl. And when it comes to natural beauty, she didn't have to take a backseat to almost anybody. Both Shania and Lari put allot of so-called Super Models to shame. So did Kelly Willis.
As a 16 year old, hormones-raging, red-blooded young man when this came out, you better believe I was paying attention, especially to that red dress.
@@jawbone78 I was well acquainted with Shania well before "Boots". I had seen her in the Triple Play tour, on Nashville Now, and then as a regular on Music City Tonight for about half a year. I had her first album. I sure Miss the Nashville Network. I wish it was still around. That's where I first saw Holly Dunn, Suzy Bogguss, Lari White, Kelly Willis the criminally underrated Lisa Stewert and many others. They don't have talent like that today. There was no "Auto- tone" back then. You had to really be able to sing.
@@jeffreyk5734, Suzy Bogguss grew up not far from me. My great grandma lived there. My sister took her grandsons to lunch in Aledo just today.

"A Little Good News"
Shania not only sings and plays but she writes those songs! She’s a formidable talent! She comes from a small - rather remote - Canadian city, Timmons, ON. I think our whole nation is proud of her! 🇨🇦
Have you seen comedian Derek Edwards do his bit about his home town of Timmons & Shania Twain? It is hilarious.
@@Carrie-so3ro Thanks for the tip! I’ve been to Timmons a couple of times and was surprised by the huge distance from the city limits to where the buildings begin. I think we drove ten or fifteen minutes from the town line to the actual community.
This is the song that broke Shania wide open in Canada. Highschool staple!!
She has been very ill, but is back now and recently appeared here in the UK at Glastonbury. Love Jay's face when Shania is on, lovesick puppy 😂😂😂
Apparently I listened to Shania Twain so much in my youth that I still have the words to most of her 90s songs memorized. She is absolutely one of the best female country singers, and she's still creating new music and doing tours.
The mix of fiddles, steel guitars and the piano in this song is so amazing!
Shania is going to be a judge on the upcoming season of Canada's Got Talent. She has been on tour this year and in Aug will begin another residency in Vegas.
Yay, Shania!! Agree with others suggesting “You Win My Love” for your next Shania song!
I like "Don't Be Stupid".
@@Thundarr100 Make sure you find the original video for "Don't Be Stupid and for "If Your Not In Ii For Love (I'm Outta Here!). Not horrible remix videos. They are very distorted versions of those songs.
"You Win My Love" is probably my favorite single on the 1995 "The Woman and Me" CD after "Boots'. And I don't see nearly as many reactions too it. It's been rather overlooked. Listen to Lari White's song "This Is Love" from the brilliant "Stepping Stone" CD. I swear that would have been just as big as "You Win My Love" was but Lyric Street failed to put it out as a single in 1998. Lari wrote with her Hubby Chuck Cannon and a guy named Austin Cunningham. I have long envisioned a video for that awesome song.
Those video actors surely have a great story to tell about Shania for the rest of their lives!
"The hottest woman alive, in the sexiest red dress ever conceived, walked into the room and started messing with and hanging off of each of us, and we all had to pretend she didn't exist. For hours."
They would have had to fire me, because there's no damn way I could have done it.
I've been waiting FOREVER for this one!!!
Yes, how can anyone *not* like Shania!? ♥
If they don't they're blind and deaf
Guys I watched a special on TV about her life. She had a tough go of it from a tragedy standpoint when both her parents were killed in an auto accident and she had to hold the siblings together. Her ex-cheated on her which hurt her a great deal. She's not only a beauty but a down-to-earth personality.
She had a tough life from a LOT earlier than that! She was in an abusive household as a child & was abused as well - there's more too. Some beautiful hearts seem to have tragedy follow them all their lives as with our beautiful Shania Twain.
(By the way it was her step-father & her mother that died in the car crash, not her real father, although NEITHER men were great. Her ex also cheated on her with her assistant & friend - so she lost a WHOLE LOT in one go - husband, friend & staff - all while away in a more isolated place in Switzerland.)
I watched that also (Netflix?). She has had quite a life.
Faith and Tim - It's Your Love - beautiful duet. My personal favourites of hers are One, Free, and Cry. I think you would love ALL of them.
Travis Tritt and Lari White "Helping Me Get Over You" equally beautiful duet which they wrote together. Also nominated as Vocal collaboration of the year in 1997. Lost out to Tim and Faith in a weird year were there were a whole army of duets out virtually at the same time. Lari has two other fabulous duets that are equally good. "Another Broken Heart" with Esra Tuaolo a former Football player in 1996 is very beautiful, and Lari is positively stunning in the Video. Also "Only God Could Stop Me Loving You" with Toby Keith recorded in 1998. Another Duet that you should check out is Kelly Willis and Kevin Welch and a song they wrote together called "That'll Be Me" from 1993. It is a gorgeous song and not nearly as well-known as it should be.
This was her first hit and is one of her most country songs.
This was our introduction to Shania on CMT back in the 90's! She's an icon!!
Lol, I had NO idea who Shania Twain was till one night I was walking through a department store looking at appliances with my young, soon-to-be bride. Well we got to the TV section and there was the "Any Man of Mine" video playing on about 20 TV screens of various sizes, and man, she just STOPPED ME IN MY TRACKS! I was like, "Who is THAT"?! Yeah, I almost got a HARD smack for that one too -- my young bride just kept right on walking and talking to no one, cuz I was frozen in place, back there gawking at Shania strutting around on all those TV's with my mouth wide open and my tongue hanging out... 😂🤣😂
@@briandavies1397 Lol!!!! 😂 Well she is gorgeous!!
Shania actually had two releases that were played quite a bit on CMT before this song ... "What Made You Say That?" and "Dance With the One Who Brought You." Both are excellent songs, but they didn't sell and poll well, so she was basically dumped to the almost-made-it pile by the music execs. Mutt Lang saw those songs and fell in love with her voice and look. He reached out to her and offered to produce an album for her, and this song was the first release that came about as a result of that collaboration. Most people know the rest of the story.
I thought that you had already reacted to this song before? Actually, Shania Twain had a whole album in 1993 and three videos prior to this. The songs/videos were "What Made You Say That", "Dance With The One That Brought You" and "I'm Still Under The Weather". But "Boots" was her breakout song on Radio in 1994-95, after spending some time as a regular on TNN Music City Tonight where she sang other people's old hits in tribute. "Boots" was more than popular enough to be a Number 1 song, but somehow conked out at Number 11 on the Billboard charts in the United States, as it was neck and neck for several weeks with My Girl Lari White's single "That's How You Know". Lari just snuck into the Billboard Top 10 at Number 10 ahead of Shania. Meantime "Boots" peaked at Number 10 on the Radio and Records Chart and Lari's song got to Number 7 on R&R. Her third straight Top 10 song. Lari's previous single "Now I Know" was a consensus Top 5 hit and made Number 1 on the Gavin Report. Both Shania and Lari should have at least made the Top 5. I so wanted them there at the same time. This is a case where the charts were a big fat lie. How about giving Lari's "That's How You Know" and "Now I Know" a listen along with many of her other songs? She has brilliant Duets with Esra Tuaolo "Another Broken Heart". Travis Tritt "Helping Me Get Over You" which she Co-wrote and Toby Keith "Only God Could Stop Me Loving You". As much as I loved Shania Twain, Lari White owned my heart in the 90's. As far as I'm concerned, she should have and could have been there about as big. Lari was a very beautiful woman in her own right. She won 3 Grammy awards. Was nominated for CMA''s ACM's and Music City News Awards. Lari died unexpectedly back in January of 2018 of Cancer that wasn't diagnosed until it was too far gone, and I really want the younger generation to discover her. That's not happening fast enough. Lari was a phenomenal singer, song writer, musician and entertainer. One of the best female voices Nashville ever produced. "Lari" rhymes with "Starry" by the way. Many people would mispronounce her name as Lorrie, but it is Lari as in Lar-e.
@@briandavies1397 You are LUCKY you DIDN'T get a hard smack in the head for that & that your soon-to-be didn't become your almost-to-be! IF she STILL married you (despite probably cursing you out as she walked away) & your DIPLOMATICALLY CHALLENGED SELF! - you need to go give her an EXTRA hug & kiss (with NO expectations of anything else!) & go buy she some sort of special gift (bouquet of flowers, box of chocolates, her favourite ANYTHING) - for marrying your sorry a**! 😅
"Don't ne stupid" by Shania Twain. The fiddle, the hand claps. The song is infectious.
Make sure you DON'T react to the official music video. That's the remix version.
Love this song! Love Shania
shania twain,my favorite canadian country music singer
Shania was in Vegas while I was there and was able to get a ticket for the first night of her residence. This was in May.
My 2nd favorite from Shania! This song made everyone say "who is that??" It's STILL on my country playlist.
Shania Twain God Bless the Child!
I love Shania Twain and I'm glad she's out there again. She had a long battle with Lyme Disease but she has residency at Caesar's Palace in Vegas right now. I definitely suggest "Honey, I'm Home" next. The live video is great because there's no official video for the song. Plus, you get to see a bit of when she was live on stage back then. 😎👍
Yes, Shania even ended up with serious health issues over Lyme Disease - just to make sure that her life didn't turn bright at any point. She has been such a tough hero through ALL of her tragedies.
Shania Twain is still touring, she’s touring the USA 16th August 2024 to 14th December 2024. She was in the UK on 7th July 2024 performing at the BST Hyde Park.
Shania is the bomb... good happy life music with several amazing ballads !! Wonderful Joyful Talent !!
To me Shania is an icon in country music. She has an amazing talent with the hits she has. Along with being drop dead gorgeous, I am a very hard rock lover but I do like me some country every now and then.
I remember Shania Twain at the Tennessee State Fair singing this song when it first came out. She was shorter than I thought she would be.
A great one is YOU WIN MY LOVE 😊
YES! The last big hit off this album. And a hum-dinger of a video ;)
MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE LOOK FOR SHANIA...
Her producer and husband at the time was 'Mutt'' Lange. Mutt Lange produced Def Leppard. That is why you hear more rock sound from her.
He most definitely lived up to that nick name
😂😢
Also some of AC/DC's music too ..... good producer, bad husband. 🥴
Imagine the shock we had when his affair with her best friend became public. Let’s just say the friend wasn’t a 10 like Shania but Mutt wasn’t a Brad Pitt either. She might be drop-dead gorgeous but that didn’t stop him for leaving her for someone less attractive. Shania ended up marrying the woman’s ex-husband so they basically did a couple swap.
Shania's husband at the time Robert John "Mutt" Lange wrote Lari White and Toby Keith's 1998 Duet "Only God Could Stop Me Loving You". This could have been a song of the year, but Lyric Street failed to put it out as a single. Doesn't matter, it deserves a listen and reaction. Lari's husband prolific song writer Chuck Cannon was Toby Keith's best friend. And Lari actually produced some of Toby's album's in the early 2000's to Multi-Platinum sales. Lari also wrote numerous hit songs for other artists. If you have heard the John Michael Montgomery song "I love The Way You Love Me" that song was written in 1993 by Chuck Cannon about his Fiancée and Wife to be at the time in Lari White. Another fact about Lari she won the TNN (Nashville Network) You can Be a Star competition in 1988. Beating out future Country Mega Star Trisha Yearwood in the Semi-final round. It's interesting that Shania Twain first got some attention as part of "The Triple Play" tour in 1993 with two other artists, one of them being Toby Keith. I've been waiting for you two to get to a Lari White song. One of my favorites which is lesser known is "If I'm Not Already Crazy". It will blow you away. "You Can't Go Home Again" is a very beautiful song. One of Lari's signature's is "Lead Me Not" which she wrote and there is an official Music video of her performing it live from 1993 on TH-cam. It will bowl you over. "Stepping Stone" is another of Lari's songs that she Co-wrote that was a pretty big hit in 1998, but there is no music video.
@@v.j.3029 I don't remember the details. Did he leave her OR did she kick him out after catching him cheating with her supposed "friend"?
This song is a HOOT, and a STAPLE at country bars. My university even had a country-themed dance night at our bar one night and I suggested this. I had like four random girls dancing with me throughout the song! Love it!
Takes me back to the 90's, cranking this up in the studio when I was working at Denver's #1 Country radio station. This debut was the jam!

Melissa Manchester "Don't Cry Out Loud"
Fantastic suggestion!!!!!!!
I have been requesting Melissa Manchester for two years. Hopefully they will get to her soon. I also suggested her “Through the Eyes of Love” from Ice Castles.
@@gbh0031 Both excellent suggestions!
Heartbreaking, yet so beautiful.
@@gbh0031 "Ice Castles" is such a great movie.
This song was one of her first real hits and was a huge hit in Canada before she got traction down in 'Murica. This is a remade video, the original was all about her and her guitar and her horse on the ranch. The horse looking in the barn window for a drink from her bath is so funny!! It also had fun graphics pop up on the screen (like the 60s Batman TV show) during the chorus.
That's why this video doesn't look familiar!
You're describing Snania's video "Any Man of Mine"
@@jimmydaves Yes, there was no horse in the "Boot's" Video. That is "Any Man Of Mine". Not sure how you can mix those two up? They are very different videos and songs. Shania, the Horse , a pickup and a bath are basically the only things in the "Any Man of Mine" Video. "Boots" has other people appear.
She had throat issues and then surgery. Instead of the high clear voice of this song, she now has a lower raspier voice. Still a beautiful sound just different. She from Timmins in northern Ontario. We are very proud of her talent and determination no matter what life throws her.
She had Lyme disease, and it affected her voice. But she is back, sounds a little different but still great.
From an old rocker, you definitely need to do a Tim McGraw tune !! “Live like you are dying “, gets me every time. 👍
A married man having to do a reaction video to Shania Twain has to be very hard to do! Having said that, you are married to one of the most beautiful women in the world, so it probably comes very natural to you. Keep up the great content!
You should check out some documentaries on her. She had a tough life growing up. Stories suggestion she gives money to schools so poorer kids can do things like school retreats and such in this "" Pay to Play" world. That warms my heart!😍
Yeah, her (adoptive) parents were killed in a car crash in her teens & she raised her brothers. ❤
momD612,
Incorrect, it was her biological mother and her pedofile stepfather, it's amazing how incredible Shania turned out as a human being, she's amazing.
There’s a good doc on Netflix now about her life and rise to stardom. Really interesting, she gets knocked down and gets back up every time. Strong woman!
@@momD612 It was her biological mother that died in the car crash, along with her step-dad. She also had to raise a younger sister as well as her brothers.
@Carrie-so3ro right. Oops. 🫢 Yes, her step father adopted her & she took his last name & the new native American name "Shania". My point was that she took in her siblings & finished raising & supporting them after the parents died. She's a strong woman for sure. 🥰
Shania took a long health related break, but she has recently returned to the stage touring again. Keep an eye out guys for the Robinson Family, let them know if you see her touring through Oklahoma
Amber!! You two rock!! Shania Rocks!!! However, may I suggest, for a future Female Friday song you check out "Foolish Games: by Jewel? No hurry or anything, just add it to your list to get to one day when you're bored and looking for something cool and mysterious!!

Such a fun song!!

Don't forget the great Anne Murray.
This song has SUCH a groove! Her vocal tone here is so smokey and sultry too. A+
You must do "If you're not in it for Love - I'm Outta here". Early Shania at her vocal and sexy best. Great song and video and my favorite song of hers! There's even cowbells for Rob to enjoy! The song rocks!

Love this one. I always wondered how those men held it together especially the young fellow in the red baseball cap🤣
Her husband at this time was Mutt Lang who was the producer for Def Lepard! He made his splash on the country music scene with Shania.
Love Shania!! She has so many great songs, but two of my personal favorites are You’re Still The One and You’ve Got A Way. Both are absolutely beautiful love songs that I think you guys would appreciate. ❤
they've definitely done "You're Still the One" before, you should be able to find it on their page

I like it I love it. - Tim McGraw. Guys, Tim’s got a huge catalog. This was one of his early 1990s hits that went to number one. Great song to start reacting to this country legend. As always, thank you for your efforts and thanks for the Shania Twain reaction.
You need to hear Suzy Bogguss !
I recommend "Sombody to Love"
...you'll love it, and her voice
Suzy Bogguss is great. But my favorite Country Lady in the 90's was the late Lari White. I also loved Holly Dunn and Kelly Willis. All 3 were terribly underrated. Holly was basically Blacklisted from Country Radio after the absurd protests over her song "Maybe I Mean Yes" in 1991. Still bitter over this all these years later. Virtually the same thing happened to Lari White in 1996 over the Video to "Wild At Heart". Both those songs had been CMT Pick Hit Videos. I thought what the hell this can't happen twice. But it did. Lari still had some success after she was inexplicably dropped by the RCA label. They let her brilliant new album "Don't Fence Me In" which was loaded with huge hit songs go to waste. She should have never been dropped by RCA in the first place and Holly should never have been cut lose by Warner Brothers 3 years earlier. When Lari signed with Lyric Street I expected her to be treated allot better, but she really wasn't. The "Stepping Stone" album should have been absolutely huge, and could have been if not so poorly marketed.
Have you ever done Faith Hill's "Wild One"? That's her first hit, I believe, and it's a fun upbeat one. Yes, Shania Twain is still touring; in fact, she's touring right now! Many years ago, she contracted Lyme's Disease, and as a result developed dysphonia which damages the voice. However, she's back to touring now, which is great news! She's such a wonderful singer, and has a fun, diverse song library.
I've LOVED Shania since I was a very young child, and I'm finally getting to see her live next month!!!!!!!!! I cannot wait, it's been a long time coming!!
In the 90s, Shania was my idol! I love Amber's t-shirt. Enough said 👍❤
My grandma took me to Costco at 12 when my period started to load me up with supplies 💜 I asked for this cd and she agreed cause it was country, then I played this song in her car!! 🤣 she was like oh ok not my country 🤭
She'll be in Vegas starting in August, through what looks like the end of the year
Saw her in concert in Melbourne Australia in the 90’s. She was beautiful. A little pocket rocket.
I don't like country in general but I love Shania! She is my favorite, by far. There was no one like her when she hit the scene. And to be able to pull off country-pop crossover was a plus!
Love Shania, she's a beautiful talented lady ♥️🙏🏼✝️✌🏼😎👍🏼
So was the late Lari White. Incredibly beautiful, incredibly talented. Gone much too soon.
Shania’s most recent album Queen Of Me was released in February 2023. I saw her in concert last summer in Chicago and she killed it. She starts a new Vegas residency next month.
Shania Twain . 💜🌎⭐🍀🌹🌹🌹🌹🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵
This is such a great song. It only made it to #11 in the US, but was #1 in Canada. It paved the way for her next single "Any Man Of Mine" to explode and hit #1 in the US!
Actually, "Boots' did crack the Top 10 on the Radio and Records Magazine chart, but lost the Bullet at Number 10. I think it made it to Number 9 on the Gavin Report. My Gal the late, great Lari White just edged out Shania at Number 10 on Billboard with her song "That's How You Know". Which reached at least Number 7 on R&R. I didn't know that "Boots" was Number 1 on Billboard in Canada. That's cool to know, because I always thought it should have been Number 1 in the States. I can't remember the other songs, but the top 10 was long- jammed for weeks. I was happy when Lari snuck in there, but disappointed for Shania at the same time. I wanted them both in the Top 10. At least they were on R&R and Gavin, but those charting services no longer exist. Only Billboard is still around today.
@@jeffreyk5734 I didn’t realize that Lari White died. She was only 52, that’s very sad. I liked a lot of her music.
Your comment about songs being log jammed is so true! Martina had several songs stall at #2 because something else was #1 for weeks on end. Bad timing, I guess.
@@IgoZoom1 Taking nothing away from Martina I saw here in concert twice and she was great. But Lari White was virtually neck and neck with Martina in popularity until the "Wild At Heart" video fiasco and her subsequently and inexplicably being dropped by the RCA label, letting her brilliant new album "Don't Fence Me In" go to waste. It was loaded with huge hit songs like "Ghost Of A Chance", Something Blue" and "Woman Of The World" among others. That album should have been huge. When she was dropped by RCA out of nowhere, that really was devastating to the momentum she had going. She was well on the way to becoming one of the top female Country recordings artists in the business. Took her two years to get a new deal with Lyric Street. Meantime there was the duet that she co-wote with Travis Tritt in 1997 "Helping Me Get Over You" When I first heard it, I thought that was going straight to Number 1. It was the CMT Pick Hit Video. It deserved too be at least a Top 5 single. But it got lost in the shuffle of a bunch of other duets and barely cracked the Billboard top 20. Stalling at Number 16. Dwight Yoakam and Patty Loveless didn't get much higher with their song either. Don't even remember what that was called. In a normal year where there weren't an army of other duets by big names that song would have been positively gigantic and easily vocal collaboration of the year. Again, the charts were log jammed for weeks and nobody could get into the top 10.
@@IgoZoom1 Lari died of a rare form of Cancer of the abdomen that was really last minute in January of 2018. She had still been touring and just completed a new album. She had also been in Broadway plays. I loved her so much. I mean I loved her. What an amazing woman. She was so immensely talented. Check out her video with a guy name Esra Tuaolo called "Another Broken Heart" here on TH-cam. It is from 1996 and honestly should have millions of views. It only has a little over 30,000. Nobody knows about this song. I swear I do not remember that video. She is so stunningly beautiful in that video she will leave you spell bound. Lari was a classically trained pianist, and she gets to tickle the ivories here. The song is just amazing. Kelly Willis also had a song called "Another Broken Heart" but they are completely different. I loved Kelly too, but Lari really owned my heart. Even over Shania. She deserves allot more reactions.
Can’t go wrong with classic Shania. She’s always been great , and recently has had a come back. Her voice doesn’t sound the same due to her suffering from Lyme disease but still sounds great. She does have some tours going on and even appeared on some award shows.
You should check out some of her new music next time. “Giddy Up!” Is a really up beat one from her that came out last year. You two would love that one.
Oh you need to play The Tractors “ BABY LOVES TO ROCK IT ”. So enjoy your reactions…top notch!
The Tractors did a Christmas variant called "Santa Likes To Ride On A Boogie-Woogie Choo-Choo Train". Very funny stuff.
Tim Mc Graw wá in the Blind Side. He is also the son of a famous MLB pitcher Tug Mc Graw who came up with the catch phrase: Ya Gotta Believe for the NY Mets. He also played for the Phillies. The duets that he does with his wife are Amazing. I would do those.
I can appreciate her for her talent and beauty- she was a specimen lol. I graduated in 97' so she was part of my everyday life in rual Ohio. I also loved her band, I thought they were creative and talented. Those were great times.
Check out Party for Two. She’s still touring…or was in 2023.
Omg!!! I loooooove that song AND video! Billy Currington is so awesome ❤❤

The new Twisters movie is coming soon -- a perfect opportunity to check out Shania's song from the 1996 Twister movie: you guys GOTTA do "No One Needs to Know". You'll love the backing harmony vocalist; his voice goes great with her lead!
They still haven’t reacted to "With A Broken Wing” by Martina McBride.
Shania is a great singer, but this is a whole nother level.
That aside, *I highly recommend for anyone who hasn’t seen the mini documentary Shania did with Lionel Ritchie for their "Endless Love” duet video, that they must do so immediately.* It’s fantastic.
Try Lari White singing "Lead Me Not" live in 1993 if you want to hear a phenomenal voice.
This one is the first I heard of her. It's from her album 'The woman in me' from 1995.& yes, Shania is still touring & looks as gorgeous as ever. at 59.
You know the way she writes her songs?
Her husband comes up with the title, and she writes the song around it.
Mutt Lang
It was her best friend. & now shania is married to that "bffs" ex hubs. @@musiclover3205
@@musiclover3205it wasn’t their nanny. It was her best friend and personal assistant.
Fun song. Gr8 reaction.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
More songs I highly recommend from my girl Shania Twain is You’ve Got A Way, Rock This Country, I Won’t Leave You Lonely, Let’s Kiss and Make Up, Thank You Baby, Waking Up Dreaming, Giddy Up, Queen of Me and Best Friend. Her most recent album just came out in 2023 and before that 2017! She’s been touring most of the year in the states and UK/Europe and still has a Vegas residency!
Tim McGraw has actually been in a lot of movies. He and Faith were also in the Paramount+ series 1883. That is an excellent show!
All right my babies.... You got me at "She can wear a potato sack"😅😂🤣
But it's true.
This is the first song i ever heard from her. I i fell in love with her and that red dress!
This whole CD is fantastic!!! Love me some Shania!!!❤❤❤❤
Shania is fire!!
Shania is still singing and I do believe doing concerts. She is, believe it or not 58 years old now and still as gorgeous as she ever was. She put out a couple new CD's since returning after 15 years due to Lyme Disease that took her voice. She never thought she'd be able to sing again, but she is. Also, something else you might not know about is that her first husband cheated on her with her best friend who was also married. Her and her best friends husband later married each other after bonding over their shared experiences of being cheated on. Also, about Tim Mcgraw, he's been in quite a few movies.... Flicka, Blindside, Friday night lights, Country strong and also has done a movie with Faith Hill called 1883.
I had my picture taken with her at Fan Fair in Nashville in ‘95 after two hours in line. She was gracious and gorgeous!
Hi guys, went to Canda in '94, saw Ms Twain for the 1st time. This is a favourite tune from that time, just brilliant. Came home & nobody had heard of her, this year she headlines Glastonbury. I'm sitting here smug, told you so😂
My roommate in college introduced me to Shania with this song, back in the 90s.
One of my faves from her earlier songs. It's so fun to listen, she's really beautiful and talented.❤
If you want upbeat songs from her, i suggest you listen to her songs, "Don't Be Stupid, Honey Im Home, Love Gets Me Everytime, or Ka Ching". However if you want "From This Moment On" vibes, i suggest "You've Got A Way, or "When You Kiss Me".
& "up". That whole albulm is fabulous ❤❤
Please react to Silent Lucidity from Queensryche
One of the best ballads ever made
You guys have the best reactions and the coolest T-shirts
Another fun Video from Shania is “ If you’re not in it for love “ so fun.
You guys have forgotten Faith Hill! I love her song "KISS". Also, you guys should check out the series "1883". It's a western (the series Yellow stone's origin story) that stars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. It's SO GOOD!
Lari White, Kelly Willis and Holly Dunn people. Three of the most beautiful, talented and underrated ladies in the history of the industry. All three need to be rediscovered and reevaluated for their deep volume of work. I have nothing against Faith, but she got all kinds of major push that Lari and Kelly did not. And Holly was Blacklisted by Country Radio before the end of 1991. I don't want Lari and Holly to be overlooked and forgotten and they largely are right now.
Great reaction! Love this one. You should do her first hit, "You Win My Love" She's on fire in that one. Funny story....first time I saw that video of her first hit(never heard of her or saw her before that) I told my husband, "check out this new country chic! She's gonna be big! " Darn if I wasn't right!LOL Some other greats are, "No One Needs To Know Right now" "Don't Be Stupid" "Up" just to name a few.
Yes Shania is still recording she just put out "Queen of Me" great CD start with "Waking up Dreaming". And yes she is still touring as well.
First song I remember from Shania Twain was "What Made You Say That" good song!
That was her first song. From her debut album in 1993.
@@Ccg9024 "What Made You Say That" is the Video with the Igloo, I think? A still was used on Shania's debut album cover. I'd like to hear Lari White's first single "What A Woman Want's" released in late 1992 from her debut RCA album called "Lead Me Not". The title track was released as the second single in 1993. In the video she performs "Lead Me Not" which she wrote, live and it is amazing. The song wasn't a big Radio hit, but remained a favorite of her live shows and it some ways is her signature song. Lari previously had a singles deal with Capitol Records. Her actual first single was a song called "Flying Above The Rain" in 1988 after she won the Nashville Network "You Can Be A Star" Competiton. Even defeating Trisha Yearwood in the Semi-Finals. All 4 of those are very good songs.
I’m so happy you guys finally got to hear her old stuff! It’s so much fun! Any Man of Mine HAS to be next! Love you both ❤
All her songs are amazing with her sultry voice and her looks. I can't get over how they thought she was lip syncing when she first started. ❤❤❤❤😊
Happy Friday J & B let’s Gooooo! Female friday but u must do a reaction to Tim McGraw ‘don’t take the girl’ that song skyrocket to number 1 and propelled his stardom!
Jay
My sister owns the Woman in Me cd and so I listened to more Shania Twain during the 90s than I cared to, but you can't deny that she didn't have catchy songs.
Shania needs to be featured on the wall of Fame behind you! She’s the BEST!
