- Slash's Blues Ball was an American blues-rock band that formed in Los Angeles, California in 1996. The band, which comprised lead guitarist Slash, lead vocalist Teddy "Big Bag Zig Zag" Andreadis, bassist Johnny Griparic, drummer Alvino Bennet, rhythm guitarist Bobby Schneck and saxophonist Dave McLarem, toured as a cover band for two years following the departure of Slash from American hard rock band Guns N' Roses. The band did not release any albums.

First time I met Slash after the Blue's Ball show at the Coach House, San Juan Capistrano, in November '96.. wow! awesome memories...
My God he played incredible on this version....deep in the addiction and heartbreak....just out of this world that intro...
That's probably the most epic intro to a blues song I've ever heard... just after the piano and guitar bit when the drums come in at 1:41, Slash starts the sucker WAILING away...

Definitely hurt. He just left gnr, cut ties with alot of friends, just got though a divorce, battled alcohol and heroin. I’m sure tons of other stuff going on behind the scenes we don’t know about

It's not quite his song really since it's actually a standard blues jam made famous by BB King, but he has made it his own with no doubt. The music Industry does need more jams like this one nowadays with grit, attitude and soul besides the bubblegum pop/trap beat rap/"Despacito" beat infused BS that's out there.
