Your videos are the highest quality UoC content I've found online! Thank you for your clear explanations of why you make the choices you do, and I love the goofy graphics. Definitely earned a sub from me! :)

Hexaboo attempted, restarted and save-scummed that Abganerovo objective over and over again so many times that he slowly lost his marbles. Congratulations for beating Astrakhan on hard, man!
I was lucky to have my forces in fairly decent shape near Elista and Kotelnikovo but then after I saw you struggle with it during the livestream I tried the standalone scenario and I have to admit that it's definitely up there together with Fall Braun, Defense of Moscow and Battle for Bavaria.
I will spare you the usual essay this time. Stalingrad so far has been the most enjoyable DLC out of the whole currently available selection. The campaign has a great variety in terms of maps, objectives and mission flow, it has pretty good pacing and decent level of challenge. And an ahistorical path on top of that. That said it definitely shouldn't be the first choice for a first timer. For a UoC veteran, it's a treat. It's probably also the first campaign where Sabotage (Brandenburg) is a genuinely good card.
Time to take a well deserved break and wait for what 2x2 has in store for us next! I am keeping my fingers crossed for North Africa. :P Oh, and I will be looking forward to that tips and tricks video!

      ABGANEROVO IS EVERYWHERE! 😅
About Astrakhan, crappy units at Kotelnikovo were my biggest weakness, I think. If I had really strong divisions there, Abganerovo would've been much easier, and comfortably encircling the enemy defensive line at Kalach/Ilovlya (and potentially setting up a nice supply hub) would have been a reality.
I haven't played the updated and nerfed Fall Braun yet, but it is the only contender for being the toughest mission in the game, IMO.
Completely agreed on Stalingrad, they're getting better at this. 😁 Brandenburg isn't too terrible either!

Have to agree with you - really like this DLC (alternative track) - interesting what-if, varying terrain and weather, and vast scope. This is the best sweeping operational armour combat so far in UoC II.

This is my favorite tactical game. I wonder what 2x2 has in store for un next. I wish they expanded the Victory in the West alternative timeline, it´s so much fun!

Me too 😁 My guess is that it's going to either be the Soviet side of the Stalingrad campaign (i.e. roughly the Soviet campaign from UoC1), or maybe a short Moscow 41-style DLC about the German 1943 summer campaign. The fact that they've successfully got into purely defensive scenarios expands the scope of what could be done in the game considerably.

@@Hexaboo I agree. When they're done with the Eastern Front, they could get to the Spanish Civil War, the Chinese front or the North African front. The possibilities are endless!!

Absolutely, the Sino-Japanese was literally huge, in terms of the armies and the areas, and would fit UoC wonderfully. Though I suspect that North Africa and maybe the Spanish Civil War are much more likely to happen, since the assets for these fronts are largely in the game already, and they are probably better known to the game's audience (although who knows, UoC *has* been localised to Mandarin 😁).

@@Hexaboo i think, that they will make an updated Uoc II version of UoC I DLC ''Red Turn'' with the Soviet version of Operation ''Unthinkable''

    • @Hexaboo
      @Hexaboo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Given that the campaigns they're making are much more detailed now, they're probably gonna split what was originally covered by Red Turn in more than one DLC! (Not complaining 😁)

I guess that means I'll see you in a couple of months now

There's actually going to be another video about UoCII in December, but then yes, I'll take a break from it, if that's what you mean 😅
EDIT: And there's definitely non-UoC2 content planned for this month/year, too! :)
