In this video we are going to give complete details on, how to reach Coorg from Bangalore. Which is the best route for Coorg from Bangalore. What is the distance and how to plan road trip to Coorg from banagalore.
If you are looking for an escape from the busy life of working from home/office.
Coorg is the perfect destination for a weekend getaway to unwind, decompress and enjoy nature, food and adventure activities.
The route we took was bengaluru - Ramnagar - mandya - mysuru - hunsur - khushalnagar - Coorg
We are planning to visit the Namdroling Monastery, also called Golden temple in Bylakuppe.
It is a must visit place and has a lot to offer.
As it’s enroute coorg, better to visit the place before reaching the destination.
The total distance to khusharnagara is approximately 230 kms.
Most of the roads are 4 lane+ and rest of the journey is on single lane but the road conditions are pretty good.
Our plan for the day is to visit the golden temple and have lunch there.
Then will start for coorg

As you can see the majestic mysore expressway is not yet complete, it is a 119 km long Bengaluru Mysuru expressway.
Best part about it is access controlled and 6-10 lanes and most important is the view a sight to the sore eyes.
As you can see the large rock formations, coconut trees, ramnagara hills in the backdrop, smooth black express way running through bridges ,underpasses and the abundance of greenery it is very hard to describe the beauty.
Even video cannot do the justice to the view, one has to come experience personally
Our destination for the day Coorg has a lot to offer for the travelers
Right from the food , nice weather, rustic town, scenic places, water falls, trekking, off road safaris to mandalpatti hills, white water rafting etc.

How about the road conditions like is it easy ti ride or there is more hair pin bends to handle by the driver. Will it be like ooty 😢 or easy to drive a four wheeler

As you can in the video there are no hill roads till golden temple kushalnagara, from there coorg town is 30 km approx. There are no hairpins along the way.

We have not visited Coorg yet in rainy season, so cannot really comment on it.
We would definitely suggest post September though, as we thoroughly enjoyed that weather in Coorg.

Hill roads are there for last 20 odd kms, but it is wide and no sharp turns so it will be fine, you can check the video from 8 min onwards for the road conditions

Roads could be a little narrow within Coorg only in few places and for a very small stretch.

it depends on your choice , but i have stayed just 50 meter near raja seat 800/- per day.
