So, because Geto absorbed so many curses, his mental health started going downhill and Toji was the final piece to finally break Geto's mind and transform him into Frieza. My take on Geto is I don't think he ever really planned for his "plan" to be succesful in the first place. I think he simply just chose to go his own path regardless of consequences and whether or not he would succeed. The reason why I say this is because when Gojo confronts him at the end of hidden inventory, he says that if he had Gojo's level of power he would have already acheived his plan and there is the line of calling Gojo the strongest. So he obv knows he can't succeed with Gojo around but would rather do his own thing than work under jujutsu high even if ya know he is a bit of a pyscho.

Why couldn't he just.... you know, work with Yuki on her plan? Remove CE from everybody, make everyone like Toji, etc etc... if he was actually serious about a plan to end curses, he would've done that. It makes WAY more sense.
The hate is kinda crazy, likeI get it but not to this extent, he most likely possesses multiple curses with domains He definitely also had improvement over 10 years, I doubt seeing teenage geto would do as good against Rika when compared to adult Geto. And Yuta basically did nothin beside give him a bloody nose. Rika was the only one doing anything. And he is most definitely strong enough to be considered a special grade, so I guess you are right on that one even if you don’t actuallly think so.
@@Pr0jektSo4p Everything about geto except maybe RCT was explained by it being jjk0 before other stuff was written. Even then you have explanations for most within canon. The pinnacle of sorcery in zero was maximum techniques which he had.
He got done dirty because his most important and last fight occurs in volume 0. He doesn't have anything because it would not have made sense for him to have domain if he never used when it mattered.

1:22 Honestly, I always assumed the reason he went crazy was because he literally consumes curses, which are the worst of humanity. That, coupled with what happened to Rika right before his eyes, coupled with him growing isolated and increasingly disillusioned, all while being full of cursed negativity, it's not surprising he went from the peaceful, rational student to the sociopath. Did he make his own choices, yes, but the curse consumption surely played a role in warping him.
Imagine kashimo being the only farmer for the whole country of Japan and geto just occasionally showing up to check up on him making sure he doesn’t hire any monkeys to help him
This is a lot of retcon and headcannon from my part, but there is one way to make Geto's plan to take out Gojo sorta make sense. 1. Rika can store CTs, Geto can extract the CT from a special grade curse when using Uzumaki - the downside is that because the brain can only hold one CT at a time, it is a one time use. Theoretically he can acquire all of the cursed techniques he could ever want and store them in Rika like Yuta does for later uses. 2. With extra power ups and his huge inventory of curses and cursed tools, Geto is a pretty scary fighter. Rika, as a curse, is also amazingly powerful, fast, and can supply nearly infinite CE. 3. Geto could basically do something similar to what Sukuna did. First, use Domain Amp to neutralize Infinity, and double team Gojo with Rika (assuming Rika can stay summoned while Domain Amp is active). Rika is a big deal, so Gojo would be pushed back. If Gojo undoes infinity, Geto can simply use more curses or swap to another powerful CT to catch him by surprise. I don't think Geto would ultimately win the fight (he and Rika both suffer a lot from being JJK0 characters), but in light of new events it could be a sound strategy.
This might be one of the coolest and dumbest character arcs I've ever seen because it literally gives us a genuinely great motive that makes sense and perfectly ties everything together. And then Gege was so trigger-happy he went "Yeah, but what if he died OFFSCREEN?!?!" and he just replaced the guy he built up with a completely different character we've never heard of before practically on a whim! It's so insane that it kind-of works just for how 'what the actual fuck' it all is, you know?
I loved this man as great narrative foil to gojo and he dropped one of the hardest memeable lines in jjk, but man if you think about it for more than 3 seconds his plan was ASS lmao
The worst part about Geto's plan is that it wouldn't even work to eradicate curses. Jogo wants to kill all humans and replace them, but when his allies die, he believes he will succeed AND see them again a 100 years from now. So apparently, even if you kill all humans, you won't eradicate curses.
This just goes to show how many flaws Geto plan rlly had and how stupid he was ☠️I fw Geto but jeezus he should’ve just ignored Yuki and not follow through with his plan 😭
@@SonGoku-bg1fr well Geto wasn’t but Yuki was knowledgeable to an extent but she didn’t know how to eradicate it, I think this is only my thoughts but Yuki set Geto up, Yuki is laid back and likes to do things on the sidelines, her goals of wanting to eradicate Cursed energy by making humans learn to control their energy seem interesting but Yuki never really knew how to approach that goal or how to take action upon it, she tried to get Toji to follow through with it but he declined so she decided to prolly use Geto to see what path he would choose and see if his goals seemed legit, then maybe if Geto plans actually worked she would’ve followed up with it, Yuki doesn’t seem to really take a side she kind of just stays neutral even her status as a special grade is pretty much neutral, think of a ship that needs a steering wheel so the ship can turn and move, Yuki needed that wheel (Toji or Geto) so she can move the ship (her goals). I think it’s jus a theory but Yuki never rlly seemed like a team player, she just gets the ball rolling by trying to make others do it for her to see where that ball goes in order to help her plan 🤷🏽
@@JonathanWells-bi6lo I don't like that because that makes Yuki a bad person. Geto inherently became a genocidal maniac, Yuki intending that makes her morally corrupt that as well.
This title is hilarious. You should make this into a series because, frankly, anime is full of villain plans that make zero sense if you think about them for even a second lol
Also when talking about rika Gojo says he would risk his life to stop her in 0 so clearly rika either is just strong enough to wear down infinity or has a means of bypassing it
Or Gege hadn't really thought up the entire power system and especially he maybe hadn't fully thought up how Gojo's abilities would work. Maybe Rika did have some way to do that or maybe Infinity was just a OP force field that could be worn down with enough force.
I’m not into jjk but I can’t stand Geto defenders. Compare kenjaku’s (one of the few characters I have attachment to) ultimate goals (evolution) vs Geto eradication it is safe to say Goebelles 2.0 is still more humane than Japanese Hitler. Plus Kenjaku is just using that body to its fullest potential.
Gege really had to nerf this man Geto by not giving him RCT, Domain Expansion, Simple Domain etc just because he woulda been too OP for the plot to work otherwise. If he had basically anything besides his Supreme Art, he probably would've cooked up greenhorn Yuta for a meal, gotten Rika, then solo'd most of the verse.
Fr like give bro megumis domain but for his cursed spirits and bro starts cooking yuta and rika, also remember that bro was fighting like 7 different battles at once with his curses
That's what happen when Gege never revisit and update JJK0 not even for the movie aside from Black Flash. You would think he remake the whole thing to match the current JJK system.
theres so many flaws in Geto's plan it's practically a plothole with how little it makes sense. Edit: If Geto didnt mind killing sorcerers to accomplish his plan (geto clearly didnt mind cause he was willing to kill yuta) why didnt he expose the world to cursed energy/cursed techniques? He says at the start of hidden inventory that they keep curse a secret to protect people so when his goal becomes to kill people why wouldnt he expose the world to it?
The biggest issue with Geto and Rika, is that jjk 0 was written as a one shot and wasnt intended to be a full manga. The character's abilities and motivations weren't as fully fleshed out, so Gege had to work a story into the preexisting jjk0
if geto got rika he could put up a fight against gojo. if he learns domain amplification with rikas unlimited cursed energy he could 100% break infinity gojo would win cuz of his domain unless geto's domain (if he had learned one) was open like kenjaku's (thats a lot of ifs cuz geto is the potential man's sidekick)
His ideology was unhinged but his plan in theory was perfect imo. Kenjaku confirmed in shibuya that in ch 0, when rikas soul was still bound to yuta and he made that vow, that rika had endless cursed energy and unlimited copying. If it’s true that ch 0 rika had more cursed energy and not the time limit like current yuta, he may have actually had a chance. The recent 251 chapter makes me believe this even more if he unlocked yuta and rikas domain expansion too. Also, if he got ganeesh cursed spirit couldn’t he just like get rid of infinity or the six eyes just like that. That spirit was bustedHowever, this could be me glazing geto as he’s my favorite character writing wise
Okay. I genuinely want to understand the character writing of geto. Because from my interpretation, author wanted to write him as "good guy turned bad due to his ideals" trope but couldn't land on it. I understand some of it tho. For me toji is the best written character. Simply because he is flawed person both literally and figuratively. Flawed as in "the only guy with 0 cursed energy " but also "a man who made terrible mistakes in life". The latter thing made him feel like a real person instead of fictional character. First time he dies with regret, second time he dies happy on his own term. Also when you think about it...toji is the only guy who got everything he wanted in the end. His last three wishes were : kill gojo, save megumi, bring zenin clan down. He played a big part in all 3. Imo toji's character was handled and written very well as an antagonist as well as a guy who went into madness after losing his wife. It shows that author actually cares for toji a lot.
I feel like Geto has a huge potential but kinda wasted. -He shouldn't have died in jjk0. Just make it so that Kenjaku heals him and they make a binding vow or somethin (like yuji and sukuna). Him sealing Gojo would be a perfect plan, he doesn't want to kill his best friend but he can't really win against him therefore sealing him for the time until he's done with his plans is the best option. And also him and Kenjaku have similarities in their plans, evolving humanity etc. At this point I feel like Ken is just Geto's copy but not wasted... Why do this when you can just have Geto with those goals? -Him losing to Yuta is kinda lame. He's one of the strongest sorcerers with plenty of experience while Yuta is a new student with no experience. I guess Geto can lose this fight due to underestimating Yuta, but him being in near-death state after their duel doesn't feel right, especially since Yuta is just fine. -Real shame we didn't see how he met his "family", why did they join him, why did they believe in him? Perhaps they were treated badly by non-sorcerers as well? Show tells us that in some places sorcerers are treated lik crap but the only example of this we got to see was Mimiko and Nanako, wish the series explored this more. In general I think it's a real shame that Geto was just left behind by the author and replaced with some weird brain with teeth. We could've explored his character more, not leave it just because he "died" in vol 0.
I know right. Geto was so fcking dumb I can't explain. He had absolutely no vision whatsoever. He was depressed so he just took on the first idea that came to his mind. I can see the vision and meaning behind rumbling, light's plan , lelouch's plan, even madara's plan of infinite tsukuyomi. But geto's plan was just peak of dumbness.
I mean, he does have that one line of saying that monkeys are only good for curse collecting and getting money, so I guess in the latter example he would allow the non-sorcerors to live to keep society running?
@@insertname4337Not even, he’s only special grade because of his Technique, if cursed spirits (under special grade) didn’t have their own techniques he’d be a Grade One bum. Kenjaku even confirmed that was curse manipulations main use and Geto used NONE of it
This Geto slander is getting crazy. How tf is the guy that can endlessly recruit curses into his army the weakest? He can even get curses that have domains for him, actual L take
After hidden inventory I couldn't get into jjk again. His plan was so stupidly flawed from the start. I'm sure in less time than it would take to get rid of all non-sorcerers people would practicing it since there's no curses. I would've preferred if he had an intention as simple as Freiza's than this.
Non Sorcerers cant be born to two sorcerers unless they get a toji style heavenly restriction in which case they wouldn't be a problem He knew rika had a lot of ce which was the only reason he cared about her. Shes just a battery for him to power up his other cursed spirits
1 thing to always remember is that Geto at the end of JJK0 and "Geto" at the beginning of JJK are 2 different people with kinda, but not really the same plan.
i feel like geto can be called a prime racist icon, not bc he hates normal humans but bc he actively resides in and uses stuff that normal people made. just like irl racist people. bro was talking about the 'monkey smell' as he used the normal human made sanitizer spray on his body. not to mention, reading books (the colors of a mother, while his foster daughters were speaking to him) made by humans, sitting on chairs made by humans, using mics made by normal humans and wearing clothes made my normal humans. bro was a true racist
also his plan was super whack. don't get me wrong, i was a HUGE geto glazer (until toji came along and my woman senses were tingled) but without his blue eyed boyfried holding back for almost 10 years, he would've been cooked in less than 2 minutes
also statiscally, bro only absorbed a little over 4 thousand curses in ten years, while kenjaku absorbed 10 million in one year. his ability was not really well suited for a man like him considering he gave more thought to how _he_ felt about the normal people being the reason for his colleague's deaths thing instead of being reasonable about it
Geto also tried to kill maki, a heavenly restriction user that had no cursed energy, she is quite literaly the safest person in terms of not making cursed spirits and he still tried to kill her, dude didnt gave a fuck he just wanted to be racist
Technically speaking maki at that point still has ce, she just has the least amount of it in the world which is why she has the heavenly pact but it isn’t perfected like toji’s because she doesn’t have absolutely zero curse energy
geto's power was literally being a Pokémon trainer with the only downside being that his Pokémon were stuck at whatever level he caught them mf could unironically farm special grades and he chose to instead try killing like 6 billion people
Geto is lowkey the 2nd potential man. Never reached reversed curse technique, never hit a black flash, doesn’t have a domain, couldn’t win against yuta who had less than one year of experience and he got his body stolen
True, plus no anti domain technique. Plus unlike kenjaku he only has spirit manipulation, so if you’re strong enough to beat his special grades you’ve pretty much won .
Bringing up yuta isnt really an anti feat, it doesnt matter how much experience yuta has if everything about him is broken. Gojo said 80% of a socerers strength is their technique and yutas is better than his because yutas literally allows him to use getos.
I know what you mean but experience is hella important for hand to hand combat. Since Geto is like 10 years older i would have expected better hands on him@@Manicboy8
Should have just made it that he was killing humans to save sorcerers like he did with the girls, would make him more likable and it’s like, he’s not racist, just values sorcerer lives over regular humans, but by killing humans with cursed spirits in huge amounts when saving fellow Sorceress, he was creating stronger cursed spirits that would kill the good sorcerers, that would have made him a bit more like able and make his plan make sense, sure he’s creating stronger spirits accidentally but he’s trying to save the lives to sorcerers

I feel like Geto's plan would have worked way better and been way more logical had Gege limited the scope of it to just Japan-say, due to the way Tengen's barrier works, 99% of curses are made from people in Japan, so if he kills EVERYBODY then no more curses. Would still be killing MILLIONS, but that is way more feasible than billions and a reasonable thing for a Special Grade "has to be able to destroy a country," ah sorcerer.
the problem is that by doing that that causes chaos and is easily detected by gojo so hes just gonna stop it. Geto cant do that if theres someone like 20x stronger being able to stop you any time
Infinity can be bypassed by increasing the strength of your cursed technique by reinforcing more cursed energy and rika was the queen of curses she had bottomless cursed energy.
I always explained to people who agreed with Getos plan, how stupid it really was. For instance Getos plan would actually make non sorcerer hate and fear sorcerer more leading to more curses being born. It’s counterintuitive to his goal. Also as was pointed out in the vid. Just because a person is born a sorcerer doesn’t garante their kids will be too. Makis mom, Megumis mom, Yujis dad and grandpa(could change), and Kamos mom are all examples of non sorcerer parents. The Zenin clan talks about how the members who are born regularly are cast as servants. There for Getos plan would require for people to kill their own kids and I doubt that would sit well with most sorcerer.
His plan was complete emotionally driven rather than logically. It's also ironic because his power is completely derived from that of the emotions of the 'monkeys' he hates so much.

He definitely also had improvement over 10 years, I doubt seeing teenage geto would do as good against Rika when compared to adult Geto.
And Yuta basically did nothin beside give him a bloody nose. Rika was the only one doing anything. And he is most definitely strong enough to be considered a special grade, so I guess you are right on that one even if you don’t actuallly think so.

Kenjaku seasoned them.
Surprised Geto never tried that

With great power comes great stupidity
Did everyone just forget about him getting kicked in the head from toji, that’s probably why he’s insane
fr
This might be one of the coolest and dumbest character arcs I've ever seen because it literally gives us a genuinely great motive that makes sense and perfectly ties everything together. And then Gege was so trigger-happy he went "Yeah, but what if he died OFFSCREEN?!?!" and he just replaced the guy he built up with a completely different character we've never heard of before practically on a whim!
It's so insane that it kind-of works just for how 'what the actual fuck' it all is, you know?
Kenjaku did more to achieve Geto's plan than Geto itself
@@JonathanWells-bi6lo Yeah Yuki and Geto were not knowledgeable
Yea the system is explained its not wrong

Maybe Rika did have some way to do that or maybe Infinity was just a OP force field that could be worn down with enough force.
except that makes 0 sense and gege most likely didn t though it through(like he does many times), rika is legit NOTHING to gojo.

The character's abilities and motivations weren't as fully fleshed out, so Gege had to work a story into the preexisting jjk0
if geto got rika he could put up a fight against gojo. if he learns domain amplification with rikas unlimited cursed energy he could 100% break infinity gojo would win cuz of his domain unless geto's domain (if he had learned one) was open like kenjaku's
(thats a lot of ifs cuz geto is the potential man's sidekick)

2:41 "if gojo on a whim decided not to love geto more than anything and unconditionally" facts my brother!! spit your shit indeed

I still think his plan sucked but those two are excusable
I think the more likely scenario is that Geto just wanted to kill non-sorcerers. "The plan" is just his ad-hoc explanation on why he did it.
1 thing to always remember is that Geto at the end of JJK0 and "Geto" at the beginning of JJK are 2 different people with kinda, but not really the same plan.

i feel like geto can be called a prime racist icon, not bc he hates normal humans but bc he actively resides in and uses stuff that normal people made. just like irl racist people. bro was talking about the 'monkey smell' as he used the normal human made sanitizer spray on his body. not to mention, reading books (the colors of a mother, while his foster daughters were speaking to him) made by humans, sitting on chairs made by humans, using mics made by normal humans and wearing clothes made my normal humans. bro was a true racist
also his plan was super whack. don't get me wrong, i was a HUGE geto glazer (until toji came along and my woman senses were tingled) but without his blue eyed boyfried holding back for almost 10 years, he would've been cooked in less than 2 minutes
also statiscally, bro only absorbed a little over 4 thousand curses in ten years, while kenjaku absorbed 10 million in one year. his ability was not really well suited for a man like him considering he gave more thought to how _he_ felt about the normal people being the reason for his colleague's deaths thing instead of being reasonable about it
I remember hearing gege say geto actually pulled more then gojo
Gege hates Gojo for whatever reason.

True, plus no anti domain technique. Plus unlike kenjaku he only has spirit manipulation, so if you’re strong enough to beat his special grades you’ve pretty much won .
Geto suffers a lot from being introduced as the first villain and having to lose to the bum with a wife
He would have beaten Yuta with ease if he hadn't used 99% of his curses on the city
Bringing up yuta isnt really an anti feat, it doesnt matter how much experience yuta has if everything about him is broken.
Gojo said 80% of a socerers strength is their technique and yutas is better than his because yutas literally allows him to use getos.

I love hearing people complimenting geto and gojo as pretty duo boys because these designs are too good to waste but... the writing wasted them
Gege ACTUALLY has trouble writing good stories
