Hanoi is quite lovely and the people there are nice, but dating apps in Hanoi you have to be careful. Dude, I was in HCM and still, the tactics of either "I come to your hotel and let's have sxx", or "come meet me at club, let's drink alcohol", or "let's eat dinner". I fell for the 3rd one but I also felt like it was kinda subtle scam because I told her you just order whatever you want because I dont know Vietnamese, and the bill came about 500,000 vnd which was kinda ok with 7-8 dishes. But, the rest 2 tricks, I didn't fall at all. I would probably go to Ha Noi for next trip cuz I really love VN and its coffee Bac Xiu.

After eating, she asked to walk around and then go to a club afterwards. I refused to go to the club and she was visibly irritated and left. Later I realized the restaurant charged my card over 4 million VND. I learned my lesson. Fuck dating apps.
No, fuck Hanoi. Not bragging, but I'm a decent looking guy and do quite well on dating apps. I've never had this issue anywhere. Not Saigon. Not Jakarta. Not Bangkok. Not Mexico City. Not Seoul. Only Hanoi. I love Hanoi, but don't bother using dating apps and like anywhere else, meet for something casual like coffee. If they don't want to meet for this, then you spared yourself from investing time, emotions and money.

Normal Vietnamese girl will want you to pick the place and what what you will be doing together. If they really want to meet you, they will want you to lead. Even if you do not know the area.

I met a girl on tinder and she told me to meet up in a bar for a date and gave me the address so I went there and then she met me and took me to a bar called "diamond bar" inside the alleyway. It's more like a counter bar and she told me to order some drinks, fruit and laughing gas balloons. Eventually, I realised that it's some kind of a scam and she was trying to make me buy more so I said no and the bill was 1751000 vnd. How do I report this scam?
This happend to me last week. But luckily the waiter wanted me to pay first. So i saw the the invoice which was over 12 million 😂 i laughed at here and went straight out of the club.
Always newbees or short term teachers. 😂 Never heard these stories from people who genuinely work and live here for long term, not only Vietnam but Asia in general. Usually these kind of foreigners doesn't have local friends apart from their work perhaps as well. Kids new to travel and Asia 😂😂

Most women are trying to get free food or money out of men . If men weren't trying to get yall , yall would complain about that to. Just marry your girlfriends and mòve to a secluded island. 😂
