“And then again you can never have enough clamps!” 🧐👍 Yaaa right, as my very good older friend, keeps looking at me strange, when I go, “ look at this garage sale, or look at this sale price, clamps!” C clamps, pipe clamps, box clamps, long clamps, short clamps, forget about those love songs, should write a song on, loving my clamps!

Perfect bench. I agree 100% on your glue up. Props to you on the beard also!

Thanks! I know there's a lot of discussion about how to make the right glue up.

I hate finishing as well. Love building.
Wouldn’t mine some rough plans if available.

Sorry, I don't have plans for the bench. Made it without plans.

Nice Bench. Try using a cloth or towel instead of a foam brush for applying stain I find it is much more enjoyable.

You're right. Just turned out that a brush workes better with gel stain. But for oil based stains it is a lot easier with a cloth.

Just as important as the type of blade on your tablesaw is to not stop and start when cutting. Start in and one motion cut all the way threw. When you stop it leaves marks where the teeth of the blade are.

I did like your video. I also subbed. My only concern with the bench is the legs are far from the edges. Looks like there could be a flipping/tipping possibility. Maybe just camera angle. Nice build.

Thanks! Yes, looking back the legs should be closer to the edges. I used the distance I usually use for longer benches, so I agree with you.

Awesome work, man. How much do you charge for something like this?

    • @niclasklinner.woodworker
      @niclasklinner.woodworker  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

Depends on the area you live, I guess. I usually charge around $170-200 for a simple bench like this.

    Hi Niclas,
    I enjoyed your video,
The part one sits on is called a 'seat' 😊
In my opinion I think you could actually get $300 for this..
Hope you have a great day :)

      Thanks for letting me know!
Yes, I agree. But in the area I live in that's usually the maximum I can ask for a Bench. There is a lot of competition here.

I enjoyed your video and liked your bench. I wish you included some dimensions along the way with the video. I'd like to make one. I've subscribed to your channel.

Sorry. I will try to do that on my next video. Honestly I didn't have a plan for that bench. I usually just start and see what happens. But if that helps, here is a little bit of information: The thickness of the boards is always what the lumber is giving me. The length depends on how many people need to sit on it. You can go with 2' (600mm) per person an the height should be around 18" (450mm).
