🦞🦞RECIPE 🦞🦞🦞
PRAWNS THEEYAL "Thrissur style"( CHEMMEEN THEEYAL)
Prawns 250 g
Coconut 1/2 a coconut
Shallots 15+5
Red chilli pdr 2tsp
Coriander pdr 1tsp
Turmeric pdr1/4 tsp
Tamarind pulp (lemon sized)
Salt
Curry leaves
In a pan add Coconut oil and put methi seeds.
Then add Coconut scraped and 5 shallots.
Fry till brown ( the taste of theeyal is in this frying)
Then add red chilli powder, coriander powder. Fry a little more.
Grind this into a paste .
Shallow fry the 15 shallots kept seperately in oil.
Now mix the ground paste, tamarind pulp, turmeric pdr,salt and prawns and fried shallots keep for cooking on slow fire
SEASONING
Red chillies whole,mustard seeds, curry leaves.
