    Most lamas wouldn't share this kind of details if it weren't for Glenn's generosity and your skillful questions. Thanks so much for this excellent interview!

      Mr Mullin doesnt use knowledge nor spirituality to control people.This is why he is powerful.Knowledge is power.Only the insecure uses withholding spiritual knowledge to control followers.Karma follows.

      They will if you follow them long enough and if you ask to be their student. Most lamas will only be very open talking about Mahayana but will be more reticent to talk about tantra because of many reasons, most of which I agree with. Because 1 - you can’t practice tantra without a guru and initiation and 2 - concepts are difficult to delete and tantra is not easy to swallow and subject to a lot of misinterpretation. Just read the vajrachandika prajnaparamita sutra for example. And that’s still considered a Mahayana teaching.

    I think I have listened to this interview about 10 times already and still find something new everytime that I have previously missed. Great discussion! Per usual!

    I particularly loved the reference to the wild screaming guitar solos in the midst of a wild, wild night in the midst of a hot, sweaty, smokey blues bar of ones life . . .

    Karma, I learned more about karma from inside during pregnancy. Mothers should be trained in dream journal and landscape as the unborn comes with advisors that show the child how the mothers timeline offers the things they look to be complete and overcome.giving that back to our grown children is the biggest lifting we can do .

    I could never believe the Inquisition and its henchmen acted out of compassion but rather showed their truly sadistic nature... so the comparison does not apply..

    Either the dear guru does not understand or he is trying to hide - the moodra's happens naturally during a meditation that focuses on the chi. when ignorant students begin to imitate what they saw their enlightened guru 'do', only than the moodra's became ceremonial.

    This 'hung' will not cover your negativity/defilements/'sins'. Stop engaging in superstition. The only thing that will stop your sins/defilements is to stop engaging in them.
    Garlic is not a bad thing, it is natural and purifying. unless you are a demon and afraid of that of course!

      I’m not sure you really know what you’re talking about at this point.Do you really know the subject matter of Buddhist Tantra well enough to make such sweeping claims?Because with the right understanding and engagement,none of this superstitious.Also,this is just Lama Glenn’s overview of a particular section of Buddhist Tantra,there are many things left unsaid especially the experiential side of things.A question for you:how do you stop engaging in negativity?Because as we all know,you can’t just stop.

    • @kaungzawhan2000
      @kaungzawhan2000 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      And yes,Garlic is not bad.It is simply not conducive for certain Kriya Tantra practices.So,you avoid garlic and certain other foods when engaging in those practices.Otherwise,it’s fine.You’re getting all the wrong ideas,please please read and study more especially if you practice or wish to practice Vajrayana!Otherwise,why even bother?This is the way how things are done here and Lama Glenn is generally right about all these and your “opinions” won’t really amount anything for me or any other practitioner,it will just add to more negativity which you certainly don’t want to engage,right?

      You can't just stop but you stop ,remain still feel the negative emotions until it all drains expresses itself out in sensation and emotion without being dramatized out in the world beyond your body . It will try to create thought drama but you observe it and bring your focus back to the emotion or sensation feeling pain. Don't lose yourself in the thoughts.

    People call out Dalia Lama to openly apologize to souls of slaves slayed by his serfdom.
    Tibetans love China government as it destroyed his serfdom and brought human rights.
    How brutal was Dalai Lama's serfdom?
    They made Thangka or paintings on human skin, from LIVING slave girl's skin;
    Skull drum of Tibetan Buddhism, made from skulls of LIVING slave boy and girl;
    Skullcup, made from LIVING slave's skull;
    Skin scripture of Tibetan Buddhism, made from LIVING slave girl;
    Leg flute/trumpet/horn, made from legs of young LIVING slave girl;
    Bone prayer wheel of Tibetan Buddhism, made from LIVING slave's bones.
    Bone beads necklace or wrist lace, made from LIVING slave's bones;
    Bone walking stick, made from LIVING slave's leg.

      Yeah, Stay away from anyone, who claims to be "enlightened", based on experiences. Even those on the negative path, reach those experiences, without any connection to other beings.
      ... he was saved from doing much negative, by coming in touch with some Bodhisatvas.
