    Hello everyone,
You’re here because you’re thinking about designing a sticker for your business, brand, client, or maybe just for your own personal project. And you realized that the design process is a bit more complex than expected. Anyone can create a sticker, but it takes a bit of skill, practice, and understanding of theory (which is all laid out in the below article) in order to get it right.
It’s not just about creating a good-looking design, there are a few things you need to keep in mind, from the purpose of your sticker to its messaging, whether it has text on it or not, and down to the technicalities, like shape and materials. It’s usually these technical details that prove to be the most challenging. But don’t worry, our step-by-step guide is here to help!

For this video, Aysel went for a 90’s vibe and created a unique sticker for all things we love from that era - a cassette player, a Tamagochi, a slinky, Game Boy, and (our personal favorite) a Rubix Cube!
In order to make the stickers a custom shape, she creates a much-needed cut contour around every single design. And she did that in …. 3 seconds! How? By using our latest feature called Offset Path. With the tap of a button, your sticker will automatically have a contour that follows its edges exactly. The perfect solution for the perfect cut contour. Which is the recipe for the perfect custom sticker. Watch the full video to learn how to do it!

I'm the 159th viewer! Yey! I'm starting to love Vectornator and learning as much as I can to maximize its potential. I have one question, how can I activate my color widget below the tools? I'm using an iPhone by the way. Thank you so much! Your app is amazing! 👏👏👏

Thanks so much for your support! We really appreciate it 💪. Because the iPhone screen is considerably smaller, we kept the color editing options only in the Inspector (-> Style Tab). We have an iPhone video series coming soon 🙌 it will explain how to best use your phone while designing in Vectornator.

Thank you for an instructive tutorial! I'm trying to open the attached Vectornator file with version 4.8.2, and it complains that the app has to be updated to open the file, however it's the latest available version at the moment... Could you please perhaps upload the sketches in some compatible format? I've tried to open it on Mac and on iPad, the result is the same.
