Same, not mom made me watch it because she loved it when she was my age. I loved it. The new one is extremely cheesy and kiddy (not like the old one isn't), but I hear it gets better towards the end and makes the characters actually likable.
I decided to watch the original He-Man and She-Ra shows in their entirety after seeing Season 1 of the reboot. While I laughed out loud at the first episode "The Cosmic Comet" because of how nutty everything was from the concept to the animation to the dialogue, I soon got over it and appreciated the series for what it was. Certainly, it's a show made to sell toys, but there's no denying the fact that, even without the budget and free access to actors as other animation studios, Filmation did a good job at creating a show that not only got viewers invested in the characters, but tried to teach them good lessons, too (One of my favorite ones is "There may be no such thing as a magic potion, but there's also no such thing as a magic drug"). Also, the theme song is great.
THE INTRO WAS SO NOSTALGIC this is how I figured out I was gay: when I was a kid, maybe like, 7, I’d just tune out the he-man part and be wishing that skirt was just a bit shorter
Glimmer is just as unlikable here as she is in the reboot. It is wonderful that both new generations and old get to experience suffering from this character through out the ages. Beautiful. Truly a time to be alive.

Ok so...Glimmer’s mom’s voice is literally awesome it’s very calming I like it
Cartoons in the 80’s were something else
Why is it that the 80s versions are always on crack?
I mean, look at the 80s Voltron and look at this
MY LORD
what about the smurfs? the smurfs is fine to me
Ikr! Honestly tat just makes them funnier tho-
My mom always told me the creator of the 80s she-ra was on the good dope
On *hard* cracc
Aye, Aye NO VOLTRON slander
I love SheRa... but these captions made it 1000
Times better
Same. I wasn't sure if this was going to be an analysis video, and I'm glad it's not. The captions had me rolling. xD
A man’s twin sister XD
THE CAPTIONS CANT EVEN READ THAT DEMON CHILD AT THE BEGINNINGS WORDS LOOOOOOL
The little girl screaming daddy will never fail to make me burst out laughing.
Based off of context clues that i've gathered, i can verify that this episode is The Battle of Bright Moon.
Chad farmer omg, clearly his personality won the wife over
Cannon to the chest dang, love how he was just done
Love how Hordak was so nerdy with snorting and such
I still find this more tolerable than 80's Voltron.
Idk man, I enjoy them both
80s Voltron was a acid trip, but now I'm realizing they might do more remakes of old cartoons, their are surely worse things then 80s Voltron...
1:14 you'd think she would show a little more emotion after almost getting hit by a missile or whatever
that wink at the end made me want to commit toaster bath 1000000 times
Lmao who else used to watch this on qubo night owl 😂
Omg sadly yes 😅
YESSS!!! I'm a night owl. Qubo was the only cartoon channel I watched. 😆 Even tho I was like...17. hahah
Yes!! Qubo night owl was some good stuff. She-ra, He-Man, Sherlock Holmes in the 22 Century, Class of the Titans... I'll always remember it fondly.
yesssssss
Only legends watched Qubo
Damn, that dad was a total hottie! 10/10
At least in this incarnation of Hordak does something.
A fool out of himself? Yeah he does it a lot
@@genericname7015 And what he does in the new She-Ra? He is the leader of a group that can be beaten by hippies with leaves and flowers.
@@mray4784 in the original he turned himself into a rocket and flew away, he was the one that got his ass kicked every episode, nobody even considered him a treat, in the new one at least he is not a clown
In the new one they are building him up.
Other great villains sit in the shadows as well, only doing something when they deem it necessary.
@@genericname7015 And in the meantime his horde had been beaten by hippies. What a treat indeed!
She says "I am Adora, He-Man's twin sister" But I thought that Adora was Adam's twin sister while She-Ra was He-man's twin sister
Everybody looks stoned and dead eyed, it’s amazing.
0:27 this could be an intro to the smurfs lmao
0:38 that's why I don't like kids
1:00 me after pulling three all nighters
1:10 Coran?!
BUSHES AND FREEZE CANONS
3:53 never have I been more terrified
I THOUGHT IT WAS CORAN TOO 😂
She-Ra: *flies in*
Coran: fam what
She-Ra: frick man wrong show
That’s legitimately what I thought!
M e
That’s Bow
The fact they rarely blinked made it more terrifying for me
Now do this with *_Captain Planet.._* especially with the scene *_"And all this happen because ...I didnt know how to read"_*
Glimmer is so scary , this honestly had me ded 😂
*winks into the camera*
Me: Welp I'm gay now
Honestly
God me too
Me as a kid
You hated the intro, that was my childhood favorite one lol. XD
Whoa thanks for over 300 likes
*She-Ra in the 80s:* Revolutionary for portaying ladies who aren't lamps
*She-Ra Now:* Revolutionary because lol Steven Universe wishes
And don't forget Avatar. 😂
1:51 That made me burst out laughing 😂

You Just Made The List *tsk tsk tsk* prepare for the backlashes
@@youjustmadethelist9404 ah. i hope you like WWE ironically. that shit is fake
I watched the old one and it was my gay awakening lol. I will always love it. I have allllll the cd's and I ADORE them. I still have pictures of me dressed up in a She-Ra costume somewhere. I had my birthday as a costume party just to dress up as her when I was 8 or 9. My mother had to get someone to make me a custom bendable metal crown. The guy who made it was very amused that in 2014-2015 there was still this child watching She-Ra.
i haven't seen the new one yet. Honestly, I guess I'm scared that too much has changed. I've seen the character designs and I kind of know who is who?? It's just weird to see these people who are like whole new characters taking upthe space of the beloved characters I used to know. Hordak especially. I have no idea what they did to his design. He doesn't seem as?? Intimidating?? Idk..
Same, not mom made me watch it because she loved it when she was my age. I loved it. The new one is extremely cheesy and kiddy (not like the old one isn't), but I hear it gets better towards the end and makes the characters actually likable.
Those totally convincing cheers at 3:46.
I honestly prefer this one, because I loved it so much when I was little. And because of that orange haired dude, his character design was perfect.
@This isn't Quality Content Actually, it's the other way around.
I agree lmao
SAME
Yeah yeah we’re alright yeah sure feelin good feelin good
Are ypu sure?
THE INTRO WAS SO NOSTALGIC
this is how I figured out I was gay: when I was a kid, maybe like, 7, I’d just tune out the he-man part and be wishing that skirt was just a bit shorter
Glimmer is just as unlikable here as she is in the reboot.
It is wonderful that both new generations and old get to experience suffering from this character through out the ages.
Beautiful. Truly a time to be alive.
Welp atleast she doesn't do this in the reboot ...
👁- 👄 - 👁 (By this mean looking in different directions)
I thought I was the only one who didn’t like Glimmer
lotusdragonjbh I like the new glimmer but this is a funny comment. so.
Finally another person who doesn’t like glimmer
Glimmer is far worse and fucking annoying in the reboot.
lol everyone keeps forgetting that the original she-ra was made in the 80s so they expect it to be up to today’s standards
honestly, most of the comparisons between the two shows are shit because the reboot has an entirely new story and it was made like three decades later
I think the reboot is gay
WHY ARE THE WEAPONS NUTTING ALL THE SUDDEN
Glimmer is low key the princess of being cross eyed
I remember watching this at night some years ago
lmao nice DKC cartoon profile picture
Same lol
Can't believe you went to sleep after
I remember coming down from a trip at a hotel after watching the sunrise in the hot tub, to come. Inside and watch someone freak out on the phone over the fact that she ra was on tv
@@tael64
Thanks lmao
no hate pls i’m trying my best :)
Edit: I made a community post regarding this video. If you have any thoughts about this one or the reboot, please read it before commenting!!
