As both a Star Wars and a train fan I've been binge watching your Trash to Tracks playlist and I love this series! When I saw that the number plate on the small prairie was "5555", my imediat though was, "Hey, that emgine should be called Fives!" As a call back to ARC Trooper Fives from The Clone Wars. Lol! Anyway, great series and I look forward to seeing more of it!
Love the Bachmann small prairies (and 57xx/8750's). They run superbly when they're cleaned up and a basic decoder fitted and can be picked up regularly for a good price. I keep "accidentally" buying more of them 😊
I have two of those Dan and like yours they were made before the DCC era. I have a 45xx and a 4575xx although both of mine are in BR black. They are great little runners if maintained. I agree that these older models stand up well to modern equivalents and they're very cheap to buy now. I don't know how any manufacturer including Bachmann could do an update unless it's just for gimmicks like glowing fireboxes and such like. Your 5555 looks wonderful running outside on your garden railway with the two coach B set and goods train.
Great video again Dan, love the garden railway and so pleased you ran the small prairie tender first, I just love running tender first it's like the real railways did, Ktf John
Superb little runner. I have an example it’s an old blue riband model and runs at really slow speed on a small pick up freight, I’ve even got sound with speaker in the top of the cab. Oh and I use insulated frogs. As a railway engineer on the big railway rule number one is keep it simple

Watching an episode of T2T on a late Friday afternoon is a wonderful way to ease into the weekend 😊
