Great song from the best heavy metal voice ever. Shame you listened to the youtube version, with it's very heavy compression and makes the song sound very flat. The vinyl/CD versions are far more dynamic, vibrant and with a "bite" to it. Ronnie James Dio is pretty much loved by every vocal coach, and this was barely average by his standards vocally. Hopefully if you decide to listen to more from his career (50 years) start at the beginning. Love is all (from Butterfly ball 1973 or so), His Rainbow albums with Richie Blackmore, (Stargazer, Gates of Babylon, and Mistreated from the Live in Berlin album come to mind) his Black Sabbath period after he replaced Ozzy. (Children of the Sea and Heaven and Hell come to mind) and of course his solo band Dio. The entire holy diver album really, but the title track, Rainbow in the Dark, and Don't talk to strangers stand out. Damn, he did so many great songs, just really scratching the surface here.
How about have you ever heard of the all female Japanese thrash/power metal band LOVEBITES. Unlike the others, all their songs are sung in English. Maybe check out Hammer of Wrath, Set the World on Fire or my fav Break the Wall.
My fave song off of The Last in Line, from my fave singer of all time! 🌈🤘
This song, as well as most Ronnie James Dio songs, definitely does not suck.🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
