I think the first one was like a job interview. You literally put your whole body into it. Which made it such a fan favorite.
The second one, was a clear solo on each end. Which allowed you to really focus on each character. Making look like a real love story.
Either way, as a man I am deeply jealous of your singing voice.

This song still brings a tear to my eye. It brings me back to the gym in my junior high school. I was so scared I could not bring myself to dance with any of the girls that asked me to. But I was holding off for the one special dance with the girl that I had a crush on. And this was the song we danced to all those years ago. So when I hear it, it takes me back to my youth and that one dance with the girl that I could have danced all night with.

From what I’ve heard from all Nick’s singing, he’s a countertenor! One of my friends is a countertenor too, and like Nick, they both have this amazing upper range which makes their falsetto sound like it goes on forever. Traditionally, countertenors were used in music of the Middle Ages (think Gregorian chant) before it was acceptable for women to preform. What makes Nick special is that he is able to put a pop music spin on his upper register which gives him is incredibly unique tone. I hope this answers your question!
