you might have already done this, forgive me if that's the case. you often light your creations with custom run leds. i wonder if you could have run a thin coated wire through the hand, and replaced the fishing line with the wire running out of the fingertip, and then installed an LED into the balloon. maybe replace the water in the balloon with resin (or distilled water for the same flowing effect) and have it lit from the inside.
Awesome, this is probably my favourite piece I've seen you do. Would it be possible to cast ferrofluid (maybe with the magnet outside the casting tub) in resin or do you think the pressure would be too much?
There seems to be an unintended mirror effect that makes it look like the forearm continues through the side. @ 8:12 you can see that the hand is never visible in the reflection and the wrist seems to form an elbow, same from the other side @ 8:36 really cool effect.
The nightlight idea is good. Maybe make another with glow in the dark liquid in the balloon. Then when the nightlight is turned off the balloon would still glow for a bit and look really neat.
That's what I like about this channel, wacky projects no one else seems to think about, but they give some brilliant and interesting results, keep it up and don't run out of wacky ideas.

Thank you for choosing my idea to do!! This was awesome to put an idea in the comments and effect the outcome of one of my favorite channels content!! As always, it looks great!!
I clicked on this expecting to see the busted/melted balloon and the effects of the water in the resin! Not what I expected, but definitely NOT disappointed! Excellent job!

Well done Ben! I think it's great with a hand holding a balloon. And the water stayed in the balloon! Thanks for sharing your creativity with me again. Stay safe, Vickie
@@cameronbartlett856 He mentioned putting it outside, which I am sure would include the sun. If the oil got warm enough it would get much lighter, I'm wondering if that would create more pressure on the hand, or at the very least stretch the balloon out more vertically.
It would be interesting to drain the ballon after the resin had dried. Instead of fhishingline, use a small tube connected to the ballon. Another thing witch would be cool is to have the lighting in the balloon.
I don't think I've ever commented here before, but I have to say that's the coolest thing I've seen you do! You have patience and talent, I'll be watching to see what you make next!
Fantastic job, Ben! I cant wait to see more ideas with this concept. Really blown away by the results you managed to get from experimenting with the water balloons. I love the night light idea. Looks Great. What I don't understand is, why not make something similar, but fill the balloon with resin as well? Maybe add a little fish inside the resin balloon so it looks to be floating. Or fill a balloon with resin and cast it in a mold so you can create multiple balloon themed sculptures? Maybe be a glow in dark resin balloon with a mini Anglerfish in it's center of the resin case, while birds fly around it as if it's floating in the sky. I can already see a bird perched on it and looking down at the anglerfish. And cotton clouds near by. OH! Or a mini bat flying near it to fit the nightlight theme of the glowing resin balloon.
Hi Ben 👋 I always love watching your amazing creations 👍😊 I really don't understand why anyone would give you a thumbs down 🤷♀️ I think people who give thumbs down are jealous because they don't have your talent 😊
Have you considered an "Infinity cube" so basically reflective one way foil, around an object, so you can look in the cube but not through the opposite sides, causing the reflections to go on forever. That would have worked really well behind the hand.
one of the ideas i had for this is to cast the thing, then cover its cube of resin in the foil, then cast it in a slightly bigger cube so it doesnt distort. for the cube sizes, you could sand down the first cube so its smaller then put it in the same container to cast.
Hi Ben! Do you know the great thing about you is? You listen to us. We see something from someone else and then say what if? We know exactly who to ask. You Ben. And it's always great!!!
That's great, Ben. I'm glad it worked this time. Two questions. Is there a reason you used epoxy instead of UV resin? Did those pliers do any damage to Nicole's hands? Take care. Bill
Thanks Bill, I used epoxy because it can hold more weight, I think the one i used was 150kg holding power, unfortunately UV is nowhere close to this. Yeah it did chip the edge on one but Nicole hasn’t noticed 😬 (yet)
Not really, you can make the cleanest water right now, water is just the result of burning hydrogen in oxigen, and you can get the hydrogen from the water by electrolisis, so even if you had a ultra dirty water you could do electrolisis to it, collect the hydrogen and then burn that hydrogen in another container and get pure water, after that you add some minerals to make it drinkable o keep as it is if you want to dehydratate in the cleanest water ever.
Maybe next time cast it with some waterproof leds in the ballon and the string be the cord and run the cord through the hand out and leading to the USB box. I will leave it to you to figure out how to seal the balloon 🎈 with the cord coming out.
