I felt like the anime was done after the pilot episode. It became such a different anime (which I still watched obviously and liked) that I wanted it to go a road with her being alive and follow a whole different narrative with the idol world still in the focus. Would be completely different but man that pilot episode was so extremely well done I just wanted it to last longer lol.

Or the few that were there just got so massively overshadowed by the downs that it still felt like we were still at the foothill of the mountain by the time the first season ended. And from the few spoilers I've had for the manga, it doesn't seem like that changes anytime soon. I love how complex the characters are, and the unusual themes and subject matter it explores, but you can't deny that it's heavy stuff

My favorite part about this is that in universe it was completely spontaneous, the twins didn't plan on doing this. So that means they managed to coordinate perfectly completely off the cuff.
