I tried doing the settings from several more current videos but they didn’t work very well. I went back to the version of BF that you loaded and it’s just like I was hoping for. I’m running a frsky Taranis radio and it works great thanks.
awesome tutorial! thumbs up from me! I was having problems with my motors coming on when I plugged the battery in but realized I didn't have the esc set to "brushed". Thanks for showing all the details, it sure helped me out. now if only I could get this damn thing to bind!
Hi! Did you manage to bind it to the radio? I struggle with the same problem. Cant get it to bind. Pressing the camera down onto the button while powering up with thw battery. But my LBT Horus X10 (in D8 bind mode) does not detect it. Interested to hear your experience and hopefully advice on a successfully binding achievement. Thanks!
Thanks for the video, I've been having crazy yaw issues on max throttle. I soft mounted the board, but was still having the issue to a lesser extent. Pushing the deadband up to 20 like you suggested FINALLY sorted it out! Thanks!!!! EDIT: I'm running BF 3.1.7 and your PIDS are nice and stable.
Thanks for the video! It is really good video and it could help for us (for me mainly the betaflight configuration). I am interested in how you could record the video during the flight time? I guess the camera doesn't have that option. Did you use your fatshark google or something else? The micro camera and vtx is the original eachine e010s? Or did you replace it for an other band? Thank you for the answer!
I used this: www.banggood.com/Eachine-ROTG01-UVC-OTG-5_8G-150CH-Full-Channel-FPV-Receiver-For-Android-Mobile-Phone-Smartphone-p-1147692.html?p=C112208512872201701Z My goggles don't have DVR, I found this is the cheapest way to record video. I connect it to my smartphone and it records. Pretty cool for showing people who aren't wearing the goggles what I can see too.
You're video helped a lot thank you. My E010s was flying pretty badly before following this video. Now it's flying "near" perfect. I say that cuz I now only have 1 new issue and was hopping you could help out. After following the video steps, my E010s is a bit "Hoppy" when armed. As soon as I arm the Whoop starts to bounce around. It's perfectly fine once I start flying. Just a bit jittery when on the ground and armed. Any idea what this could be?
Great review, especially appreciate the pid's. I noticed you turned off telemetry (flysky). I have the FRSky version, so have telemetry on, but can't seem to get a flight battery reading (VFAS). Have done the "discover sensors" on my Taranis. Any clue what I may be missing?
I'm really not familiar with the Taranis at all. My only guess is that the built-in receiver on the E010s is only 1-way meaning it doesn't transmit any signal back to the Taranis? That's how the FlySky version is set up at least.
hi.. firstly first.. thanks for the awesome detailed tutorial, i saw you help so many people with it.. i have a problem, i bought eachine e010s flysky version from banggood, the product arrived last week at my door but when i try to bind with my flysky fsi6x, the bind button led always show red light, i never saw blue light coming from the led, i can connect the fc to my macbook using betaflight, but i can't bind it, could you help me? what should I do with it? does reflash the firmware can help me? tried to contact banggood and sent them videos but they never replied me back...
Thanks a lot for your video ! I have an issue with my e010s f3 FRSKY board here : for the 3 last month I've been trying to figure out what was my problem... I followed all your instructions but when I plug in the micro usb cable, i have the com 4 that appears and the connexion starts but stops after 10 seconds and the error message appears : "communication failed" and "fail to open serial port". I've try to change micro usb cable, change the usb port, reinstall the drivers, check if my "silicon labs cp210x usb to uart bridge (com4)" port (com and lpt) was here etc etc... I am at this point for 3 months now and i can't figure out what is my issue. Do you have an idea ?
Wrong firmware. Great video. That was very helpful in flashing. I'm still missing one thing with getting my quad going. I have a DFU board so I do not have a bind button. How do I bind my quad to my transmitter?
Chas Marquez If there is no button then there should be a spot on the board you need to jump while plugging in the battery to enable bind mode. From what I've seen the two spots you need to connect will be labeled with BIND. I usually jump them by pressing down on them with an exacto knife then plug in the battery. Usually the board will also have a different LED flashing or something to signify bind mode.
TurboTom thank you for the reply and I'm sure there is somewhere on the board I need to jump but there is nothing labeled where that may be. So flashing and connecting to beta flight will not bind it in itself? I assume not but I'm out of ideas.
Thank you - very nice upgrade tutorial. With it, I managed to go from CleanFlight 1.2.2 to BetaFlight 3.1.6 in no time. Have you tried BetaFlight 3.2 with this FC?
GREAT VID DUDE - I OFTEN DONT NEED HELP BUT SOMETIMES N UR VID EXACTLY WHAT THE DOC ORDERED -- I will have a vid or two up i think i am going to link ur video
I am running Windows 10 x64. I have installed the STM USB VCP Drivers and CP210x Drivers that are on the betaflight home page? I'm not sure what version, but I did that like a month and a half ago. I'm not sure if that answers your questions, if you tell me somewhere specific to look for information I can retrieve it for you.
Thank you!! I was able to resolve the issue with upgrading to Betafligth by using this procedure: medium.com/arrowcircle/seriously-pro-f3-from-china-fixing-stm32-communication-failed-wrong-response-expected-121 -0x79-1bd64a471bdd
It definitely increased the flight time and gave more punch and the same time. It does change based on how I fly but I average about 4 to 4.5 minutes per pack. I would highly recommend making the switch.
thats pretty good! I bought the 3 blade props for it, and got an additional minute, so im wondering if with this battery i can get another minute! that would be awesome, 5-6 mins on one batt... Thanks for the info and Vid!
Dave Silva you need a USB to microUSB cable. The USB side goes into the computer, the microUSB side goes into the little silver port on the top of the e010s, located on the circuit board behind the camera. Then you need to open up Google Chrome and go to apps and download betaflight.
mine doesn't have the USB connector on the board. I just bought it from Banggood and the camera came separately and had a port for the camera on the board, again no USB port. I know what those are. How can I show you a pic of what I'm referring to?
Dave Silva ahhh, I think you have a e010 not the e010s. The s model comes with a bee brain board that can be programmed. I'm not totally familiar with the e010 but I don't believe it can be programmed...
Hi, i need your help, i have the flysky version, flashed BF 3.1.6, but i am unable to BIND it. Got AFHDS 2A oFF. What is your port configuration and reveiver setting on configuration tab please ?
I show the port and configuration tabs starting at 8:58 in the video. I know it's a quick glimpse but you can hit pause to match your settings to mine.
I tried googling your error message but it came up with many different answers... I'm not sure where to begin troubleshooting this problem. Have you ever had success flashing before?
the mode setup assumes you know what is going on. I do not, this was not helpful unfortunately as you didn't explain what you were doing... Did you have your RC controller doing stuff, what do those mode settings do?
Yes, I was using the RC controller to test the settings I was changing. The different modes are the different ways you can make the quadcopter fly. The ARM mode will turn on the motors at idle speed when the switch you assign it to gives a value within the yellow range set by the sliders. So what I was doing was moving the switch on the controller to its different positions and that moved the small yellow indicator across the different values, I then set the sliders to the range that would then set that mode to turn on when I flip the switch on the RC controller to the position I want it to be. I repeat this for all the other modes using a different switch. What I end up with is my AUX 1 switch turns the motors on and off, like a starter and killswitch, and the AUX 2 selects the flight mode of the quadcopter. The flight modes act as follows: 1)ACRO mode - This is how the quadcopter flys without any flight mode selected on betaflight, if you would like this mode then do not add a mode and have it so your switch selects a blank space. It will be entirely manual inputs without any self-leveling. 2)AIR mode - this is a more advanced version of ACRO, in which there is greater control because it allows you to have greater maneuverability at low throttle conditions by having the computer up the throttle to yaw or roll and then quickly bring it back down without changing your altitude. This is how I fly all my quadcopters, other than this little guy that I usually fly in the next mode, HORIZON. 3)HORIZON mode - This is a mode that self-levels, so if you let go of the pitch/roll input the quadcopter will level itself. This mode allows you to still flip the quadcopter or roll the quadcopter by pushing the sticks to their maximums. 4)ANGLE mode - This is the easiest mode to fly in. It self-levels and limits the angle that the quadcopter can pitch forward/backward or roll left/right. So you can jam the sticks forward and the quadcopter just flys forwards without flipping or anything and when you let go it will self-level. This is how I think everyone starts and makes the E010s super easy to fly. I hope that answers your questions, let me know if I should clarify anything.
I would try without air mode enabled. It's possible that air mode is causing your issue. I hear a lot of people who only use acro mode for these little guys.
Michael M It's pretty good, you have to be very smooth on the controls as it doesn't have that much power. Too sharp of a turn or too much angle and it loses altitude. Indoors I pretty much just fly in angle mode, which it flies great in.
Need your help with my newly bought E010s. When I plug a freshly charged battery in my e010, I get no light and the Motherboard heats up. BUT when plugging in a freshly charged 180mAh 3.79m 25c(long skinny battery, it immediately powers on(no lights) motors spinning super fast...Any suggestions other than throwing it away? Thanks.
I started with the Kylin/JJPRO Vision Googles: www.banggood.com/KDS-Kylin-Vision-64CH-5_8G-Full-Band-FPV-Goggles-5-Inch-VR-Headset-with-Battery-p-1053030.html?p=C112208512872201701Z Since then I purchased some Skyzone googles because I wanted a smaller sized google. The picture is actually a lot bigger and more immersive in the Kylin Vision Googles, but I love how small and portable the Skyzone googles are. Also the Skyzone googles were like $330, and the Kylin are only like $80. But still, the Kylin googles give a much better FPV experience in my opinion. The Skyzone I have are now discontinued, they have some new models but I think they are closer to the $500 range now.

Hey TurboTom, nice Video!!!
Could you tell me, how you got your fs-i6x to look so nice?:D
Sebba Ling it's a process called hydrographic dipping. You can buy a DIY kit on eBay:)
Thanks for the video. I have erratic flight issues. sometime the e010S roll and pitch go crazy.. Dunno why...
I found that as the motors get close to death they seem to sometimes just fail momentarily. Maybe that could be the problem?

Dude this video is sick!
How did you make your awesome colored radio?

How did you customize your radio? 😱😍
Arno Nym it's a process called hydro dipping, I found a DIY kit and did it at home.
Huge help thank you very much for this👍
Actually your settings and PIDS work well on the latest 3.2.1 Betaflight👌
what is your battery life now (flight time) with the new batteries?
It definitely increased the flight time and gave more punch and the same time. It does change based on how I fly but I average about 4 to 4.5 minutes per pack. I would highly recommend making the switch.

Dumb question, how did you connect the e010 to betaflight(computer). Thanks again.

Anyt idea on the battery/power situation I mentioned prior?
How did you paint your controller?
Process called hydro-dipping. Look for DIY Hydro-dipping on eBay and you'll come across kits similar to what I used.

I tried googling your error message but it came up with many different answers... I'm not sure where to begin troubleshooting this problem. Have you ever had success flashing before?
