Thank you for showing me these things. I am a fennec owner and always trying to improve, these are so helpful. I’m currently giving mine mealworms, super worms, (all organic) and some raw chicken leg.(for taurine) he also receives a few frozen adult mice, a few times a week. As treats, he gets a little cherry or sweet potato. Is there any tips that I could have to improve upon this diet?
when i get one hopefully in the future, i'm feeding it raw mice, chicks and a variety of insects such as roaches and locusts. i think a natural diet seems healthier than a processed one.
This video is FAR from accurate- first of all plant matter only makes up 10% of a fennec foxes diet while the rest is made up of meat sources, pet food that is not recommended by an exotic pet vet should not be fed to a fennec fox it can be VERY BAD for them if you don’t know what your doing. Fennec foxes need real meat sources and not processed, I may not yet be very experienced in the care of these exotic animals but I know enough to be able to clearly say that almost any processed food is bad for them unless told otherwise by a special health care provider.
@@kittyhouse4548 assuming because of the wet cat food and dry dog food, it will restrict a long life. Best to feed close to what is found in a natural setting.

can they eat fish?
I've heard you shouldn't because it makes them behave wildly, but I don't know if that's true.

Darren, you are right! I also feed mine raw ground rabbit. I'll be doing a video soon on the PROPER foods to feed fennecs. I hope you check it out!
Hi lucy the fennec fox!can u feed them eggs
@@forfoxsake yasssss❤️❤️❤️ I hope to get a fennec fox eventually
The dog food and cat food is bull shit, do you really think they survived by finding dog food or cat food in the wild
Uhm do you cats and dogs survive by finding cat food and dog food in the wild like wtf 😂😂😂💀
Feeding them dog food and/or cat food as a staple of their diet is INCREDIBLY unhealthy for them.
@@Ch33sed00dl3 They're domesticated. These are not and really shouldn't be pets to start with.

weird
dude, when u own one as a pet they still need too learn how too hunt. dont give them store bought food. give them live animals, like mice and bugs
