The Fennec Fox (Fennecus zerda) is the smallest dog in the world, it is one of six species of fox belonging to the genus Fennecus, to which the Fennec Fox (Fennecus zerda) is the type species, the other species include the Bengal Fox (Fennecus bengalensis), Blanford's Fox (Fennecus cana), Ruppell's Fox (Fennecus rueppellii), Pale Fox (Fennecus pallidus), and Cape Fox (Fennecus chama), members of the genus Fennecus are called dwarf foxes, all dwarf foxes are small-sized and have large triangular pinnae.
