Thank you for sharing this info. I had the similar problem on my 2011 Toyota sienna after replacing a steering rack. I went twice to mechanic to reset the zero point calibration and when I just drove away from the shop the lights on my dash came back. Today, after watching your video I did the same on my sienna and it worked. Thanks a lot one more time.
So thankful for this video! Worked great on my 2009 RAV4. I replaced my intermediate steering shaft and was a little careless with the wheel position. I got it dialed in driving straight but once I hit 15mph the car would throw on the traction control and try to stop the car lol. Not just the light but literally try to stop it too. I assume I messed up the wheel angle and it thinks I’m trying to turn while going straight. Learned about the steering angle sensor, found this video and boom it fixed it. Thanks for the video!!
Thank you very much ! It worked on my 2003 Lexus RX 300. The VSC light came on just by itself. Without this clip, I would have brought it to the dealership and they have to charge a minimum of $269 to reset it!

I just replaced the clock spring in my 2015 Tacoma. I accidentally twisted the steering angle sensor and did my best to return it to the original position but now my slip indicator light is on solid. I tried another guide on tacomaworld to do this, but that one indicated using the 4th pins from the right. Any harm in trying this? Will this fix the issue?
No harm, I’ve put it in 4th pin on accident before and nothing happened. To confirm that the reset is taking place all the lights have to be flashing. Hope this helps

What does shorting out both pins do? VSC light is not on. Anti-skid light is flashing and beeping when I turn my steering wheel on highway. Does this calibration fix this problem?
Shorting both the pins is pretty much reseting the whole system. You may have a alignment issue or a bent suspension part. I would address the issue and get the alignment first then do the reset.
@@Mr_Fix_It Do you mean that 'shorting these pins' is the same as clearing ALL codes with an OBD2 tool/reader? And, if jumping these pins ONLY clears codes - why is this also called a 'CALIBRATION'? @@spikey9azn6 yes sir, it should work. Worst thing that can happen is you blow a fuse.
Hello, you can take a look at this video, I used the comprehensive diagnostic equipment to do this function for Kia cars: th-cam.com/video/bsAyzSyaEPc/w-d-xo.html.
Doesn't work on a 2015 Sienna

That message something is still wrong. Put a OBD scanner on and see if there are any codes. Maybe a bad ABS/speed sensor. Also just be your alignment is still off. Hope this helps.

came out after alighnment of our 2013 Corolla, they fucked up... Break Masters lol
The haneys manual says 5 pin top 4th pin bottom
Depends on the position of the OBD port, some cars it’s flipped, like car in the video.
Take the damn key out!
Maybe I’m the only one who can’t get passed the stupid bell chiming but seriously people how can you make a video and expect people to sit and listen when you have the door open chime going off the entire time???
Yes actually the door needs to be open for me to access the OBD port and the ignition on for the reset. I’m glad you can find something negative from something that is useful and free for some people.
@@Mr_Fix_It If you're going to publically put yourself and your videos out on the largest video platform that exists on planet Earth, don't get your feelings hurt when someone addresses a legitimate issue they may have with the "quality" of one of those videos. I lost around 75% of my hearing in BOTH of my ears from a horrific accident in 2018 and have to wear hearing amplifiers and the sound coming from the chime in your video makes both of those amplifiers hit a high pitch and then the sound cracks. Have you ever heard the sound a microphone makes when it gets too close to the speaker that it's connected to? That's the same sound I get to hear when watching this video. This video was neither useful nor free for me. Also, if you would've turned the key to the "on" position instead of having it on "accessory," you'd noticed that the chime would've gone away.
@@dennishickmaniii3672 If you can't hear this sound, how would you do it live? This sound is in the van, do you have one? There's no need to behave like that when he's helping. There are much worse sounds on this platform. Regards.
Mitsubishi Lancer is also possible? There are three error codes: C1290, C1219, and C2205, but the code cannot be deleted even with a scanner, and the alarm continues to ring even when driving.
No this is for Toyota cars
