We watched this morning. I told my wife if we had the money today, we’d buy a cruising cat and sail to the Gulf of California to live. Isolated but not remote with LaPaz, Mazzatlan and Lorido nearby. Spectacular scenery. Great weather and a huge area to endlessly explore. Our only concern, because of our age, would be healthcare.
It’s a pretty amazing place. Our only experience so far with healthcare here has been the dentist, which was very positive. We have friends who have been in the hospital and got great care for extremely reasonable prices. Having the ability/option to return to the US for something extreme would be nice for sure.
After nine days I let the horse run free 'Cause the desert had turned to sea There were plants and birds and rocks and things there was sand and hills and rings The ocean is a desert with it's life underground And a perfect disguise above Under the cities lies a heart made of ground But the humans will give no love You see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name It felt good to be out of the rain In the desert you can remember your name 'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain La, la
We loved your video and the cinematography was amazing. Isla San Francisco is a wonderful place. We are also cruising in the sea and are currently in Puerto Escondido and will be headed north in a month or so. It would be great to run into you guys.
You have a fantastic eye for videography . The slow motion shot of the sea birds against the moon was captivating. Fast becoming one of my favorite sailing vlogs. KUDOS to the both of you.
thanks for your great content, its on our bucket list. how do you check your weather windows? or wind. been reading they're very unpredictable, thanks in advance. dont know anything about sailing, sorry for my unexperiance questions, were thinking trawler for us, would fuel be a problem?
We have an iridium go for when we’re out of cell range and use PredictWind. When we have cell we usually use Windy. Weather forecasting has become really accurate, but it’s just a forecast and not always spot on. We find that the gust forecast is usually closer to the sustained winds we see. Fuel isn’t really an issue, we’ve found the diesel to be clean. You just need to keep an eye on your tanks and plan refill stops.
Stumbled across your channel recently and genuinely look forward to your new vlogs, great film making and stunning locations, makes us jealous of the lifestyle 😀 Keep up the great work, big love from the UK 👍
Technically dogs are not allowed on many of the islands here as they are part of the Mexican national park system. There’s also cactus, scorpions and rattlesnakes that make us not want to bring them into some terrain, especially when we’re in remote areas and a long way from medical help. They LOVE the water and are perfectly happy to stick to the beaches and swimming!
‘Was pretty epic - -apart from the tarantulas “ quote of the week 🤭
Your having way to much fun. Ha ha. Lovely episode
Outstanding video.
Gracias!
Love your sailing adventure and most important, how you present the adventure.
Such kind words, thank you!

Just a fabulous and beautiful episode guys ‼️ Soft. Easy going. No drama. Lovely locations. No acting. Real. Thank you. ✨ 🌊💨⛵️🏝👙🌞✨
Thank you, so glad you’re enjoying following along!
My bride and I loved the desert landscape. Lived in Arizona for 13 years. Feel in love the moment we got off the plane to look for a home. ❤
After nine days I let the horse run free
'Cause the desert had turned to sea
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
there was sand and hills and rings
The ocean is a desert with it's life underground
And a perfect disguise above
Under the cities lies a heart made of ground
But the humans will give no love
You see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain

Thx for not chasing the dolphins!

We are about to haul out for a little while but will be back cruising around in a few months, so keep and eye out

We love hearing that, thanks for the nice comment!
Why don’t you bring the dogs along on the hikes?

@@MakingOurWay 👍🏻 good to know
How cruel you don’t even let your dogs out to run on the beach while there stuck on your boat
They run on the beach and swim literally every single day. We just don’t film it every day. They’re beyond happy.
My apologies sorry!
