I kitted out a DK that i havent used in a couple years with this build. Took my a bit to kinda get my feet under me...had a couple trivial deaths early. I got it together and made it into Arc 3. My biggest problem was stamina sustain. i REALLY rode the struggle bus with sustain. Ive never played a HA melee build, so this was new and I really enjoyed the in your face playstyle...just looking for some tips on stamina sustain, thanks. Great video (s) (all of em are well done and I have rolled a few of my toons into your creations, they work well)
@Cooperharley0204 always. Haven't been back in the EA since that run, real life and all. Gonna give it another shot with this DK and see how it goes. I'll update my results. Thanks, keep up the great work.
Do you have a frost warden build that is a high hitting solo/grupe build? I put this build to gether still missing a few things for it but working on it. Love the build...
Beautiful build! Love the cosmetics part in the end it really changes the feel of the build Although, i dont think I'd ever use my DK without the whip it's just a main for me Also, what dps would this build approximately do on a trials dummy?
Being that it’s designed for survivability it’s not going to do nearly as much as slotting aegis on the body, using all divines pieces and thief. We’re focusing heavily here on resistances up front with decent damage, but depending on verses and visions to REALLY crank it up. For that reason I only have tested the endless archive builds in EA itself as that’s its purpose 🤷🏻♂️
Ive never seen a dps build put the sole focus into resistance. Is this a viable solo build outside the archive? I feel like every build i look at has a formula that it follows.
You can just use a regular monster set and restrict your skills to one bar, you just won’t get all the major and minor buffs associated with oakensoul unfortunately
I don't find the sergeant set to be particularly good for any heavy attacks besides dot based heavy attacks like lightning or restoration staves. The damage bonus stack would easily be procced by these weapons with only medium attacks, meanwhile other weapons would need a full heavy attack - with 2-handed taking around 2 secs. Therefore its not really practical in content when you're also doing mechanics.
I was looking at this build, and honestly Dragon's Appetite feels like a better choice. I'm going to try it with Sergeant first, because I never change a build until I've tested it, but will probably end up using Dragon.
@@Father_of_the_Constitution The issue is simply that solo oaken HA builds using melee weapons are bad. Does no damage, takes too long to keep sergeants proccing, and restores too few stam for doing mechs (blocking, dodgerolls). Dragon's is a really nice idea with carve, but again - its the heavy attack thats the issue. But since noxious and embers procs every 2 sec and your heavy attacks taking 2 sec too, it wont proc dragon as often. Meanwhile, like most actually usable HA oaken builds, lightning staff will easily proc it if you have bleed source. That said, my only testing has been vet vateshran and soloing vet dlc dungeons. What worked for me is ditching the the heavy attack completely, use titanic cleave, order's wrath, use a (3 x chain) + 1 whip as a "free spammable", and vigor as healing. I might test out dragons instead of orders
Love the build videos, great explanation of tool tips and everything, keep it up, just subbed
Thanks for that :D
@@Cooperharley0204 of course. I really enjoy when people put time and effort into their videos instead of just showing a parse like others I've seen

Are you utilizing your potions each time they come off cooldown on top of the heavy attack weaving?

Is this a good build for a beginner
If you don’t have oakensoul yet, what would be a good replacement for it? Thank you!
