- Danzig - eine alte Hansestadt. Im 2. Weltkrieg schwer zerstört, bietet sie sich nunmehr wieder in altem Glanz dar. Die Wiederherstellung der historischen Bausubstanz durch die polnischen Restauratoren und Handwerker ist beispielhaft. So ist Danzig wieder zu einem lohnenden Besuchsziel geworden.

Ich war noch nie da.
Schaut euch mal an, wie Danzig 1945 aussah. Die Polen haben in Gdańsk rekonstruiert was möglich war. Dort wo noch Freiflächen sind, könnte die Deutsche Regierung doch Geld geben und die Polen bauen die alten Gebäude nach. Das wäre doch eine tolle Geste

Percentually the greatest group of developer of highest buildings in Poland, are Poles, polish firms or cooperations. And Gdansk was in his history only big because polish kings. Later in ocupation of Prussians, Gdansk loosed all privellegs and was not so great Hansa City more like in over 700 years under polish kingdom. After 2.WW Gdansk was destroyed to 96%, Poles rebuild this city. Today you see 96% polish architecture in Gdansk. But still Krakow looks better. Today in times of the modern, a lot of famous architects come from Poland. For example olympic stadiums in Sydney was created by Poles, and much more. So nothing about polish architecture. To finalize the topic - before 1945 in Gdańsk /Danzig lived majority of deutsche people
