    some of these products show that we simply pay for the brand and not for durability or a special aspect about the item.

      Check out Trenton and Heath for a pair of Saint Laurent shoes they restored. Original materials were cheap synthetics and the repair was better than they were new.

      Nothing is durable if you use the products very often . Unless u take them to spa very often too

    There are reasons why they prefer restoring it rather than buying a new one. Some of these have sentimental value and they wouldn't like to throw it away but they wanted it to last longer. It's also their choice if they wanted to restore it or not. Can't tell them what you want them to do :/

    I wish you'd post the final cost. I know these items are $$$ so just curious what a fix and/or restore actually costs especially in relation to the item

      I think some brands have a lifetime restoration process once you buy it (at least from my experience of a YSL bag I own.) If I wanna get it fixed up, I’m supposed to take my bag to any YSL shop, show them the member id I got when I bought the bag, and they will ship it off to get it repaired and return the bag in around 3 months. The process can take pretty long but the clerk told me it was free and included with my bag purchase. (I haven’t used this service yet; didn’t know they provided it until I bought the bag)

      @@hermanwooster8944 What would a good luxury brand for backpacks.

    • @hermanwooster8944
      @hermanwooster8944 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Thebreakdownshow1 Sorry, I don't have any experience in that segment. As I told someone else here, all of the products in this video used real leather because leather is durable and easy to restore. There are leather backpacks out there; however, a backpack with books and gear might subject the leather to an extra level of wear and tear that causes it to fade and stress. If you really want a luxury backpack, one thing to watch out for is the difference between well-designed products and designer brands. Designer products will make you pay more for the name brand and not give you much more. Things like leather dress shoes and leather handbags are chosen for the quality of the materials. The name brands in those fields got their names because of the materials they used.
