They probably gave you some "chill out" meds that reduce inhibition /anxiety, which for most people still just make you sort of cloudy but for a few people, it actually knocks you out. I have a super fun sleep disorder along with all the female issues (weeeee) and there's a relation to the GABA A receptor (which is the same one that things like benzos, lots of anesthesiology drugs etc interact with). So, in a nutshell I'm super chill /tired all the time and once I knew that, I had a surgery and explained my GABA A potentiation and they skipped the "chill" drug (I think sometimes they use propofol aka milk of amnesia but I'm not sure what other ones). In my case I'm fine without getting it but waking up from that surgery was a bit difficult still like previous surgeries. Last year I notified an anesthesiologist abut it all and when I woke up he said he only gave be the light "chill out" drug and NOT the full anesthesia drugs and I still took an extra 5 min to wakeup. He was astounded how I'm so different from other patients. Anyway, I bet the "chill you out" stuff they give before they often haul you to OR may just have hit you heavy. I don't have anxiety, but I think if you go through thoughts of trust/affirmations on the great team that will be operating and think about the great "nap" you'll get, you might do well while entrusting them. I have adeno& I believe endo. I'm planning to get a hysterectomy locally and get the video/records to likely go to CEC. I'm sure I need to. Did you pay out of pocket or work in some way with insurance? I am going to attempt a "single case rate" with insurance. It's a fight I don't have energy for but I need the $ help and the "win".

I know this is late but I have endo I am 17 and have had it since I was 14 I have been in hospital due to excruciating pain in my hips back and stomach leaving me paralysed for 3-4 days, the only option there giving me is birth control but I also hate the idea of it growing inside of me I’m really stuck as I’m happy to try out birth control for it but I also want the surgery however there’s a 1-2 year wait what’s everyone’s opinion on the surgery?
